GH1, GH2 EVF Eyecup

Hi Folks
I just received the rubber eyecups today but unfortunately they are not the ones I had ordered. I will have to send them back and hope they ship the correct ones soon. Sorry to say it will be a few more weeks before I can start shipping. My apologies for the delay. I will keep you posted.
 
Hi rigs...also interested in this. Would love more info. stonebat makes a great point about it helping with a smaller rig. Thanks to he and mimirsan for the pix and amazon link.
 
Do you really need a magnifier, the evf is very sharp to begin with and you have on camera mf assit. Whatever works for you Kurth, I'd love to see your final results.
 
rigs, maybe i missed something, but can you activate focus assist on the EVF ?? i don't think so unless i'm an idiot.. :)

Sure can roei z, it works the same as on the LCD screen. Make sure its set to ON in the custom menu page 3
 
oh this is great ! but how do i activate it (i mean, what do i do to zoom in..) while on the EFV ? i tried to find a way but couldn't

There are lots of options to set up the focus assit. It will magnify when you are set to MF or AF/MF it will kick in when you focus from the focus ring or you can touch the screen with a gh2 or assign it to a custom function botton. It will kick out once you hit the shutter or record button or when you touch the screem (GH2) or custom assign button.

hmm.. With FD lens I cannot find how to set a dedicated
Function button.. (to work on EVF)

rigs, how's the progress? Did you already make 50 metal pieces? Just plugging the correct rubber pieces and good to go? Thanks.

I'm still waiting on the right rubber eye pieces. My supplier in New York is really slow on correcting the wrong ones they had sent me. They where much smaller in size and the rubber is not soft enough.
 
hey just found out i could get focus assist just by pressing the shutter dial...
seems so obvious.. how come i didn't try it until now???? :)

btw rigs.. any news?
