GH1, GH2 EVF Eyecup

What makes me exciting about this eyecup is that it can change the way we build a rig.

GH2 has EVF with 1.5M pixel equivalent. Using the eyecup for ENG style rig means a lot. A rod length for shoulder pad can be short. A pair of front handles can be closer to the body to balance the weight. This implies smaller rig design. This is not possible in mirror based system.
 
I also switch LCD/EVF manually. Sensor doesn't work for me because it gets set off all the time accidentally.

I have a new supply of rubber cups coming by the end of next week and I will be able to offer a complete unit with the coldshoe bracket for $47.00 plus S&H.
I will be producing a initial short run of 50 units and I plan to have The Eye Cup ready to ship by End of February.

The design has changed a bit. It now has a lower profile cold shoe that is mounted by screws to the top of the eyecup frame, it can be removed if you dont need it or want to add a bracket to help ancor the top end of the camera to a cage. Which adds more stability when using a follow focus. The viewing window is now rectangle and extened another 10mm outwards. I will post some new pics once I get the rubber eye cup pieces in next week.
 
That eyecup will fit perfect on my rig...
