Unfortunately, we had to kick Mr. Rice of the shoot because of his "scandalous" behavior. Who knew he'd react that way to the peyote? After a bit of heavy vomiting, Brandon grabbed some tamale's off the catering table, threw the script girl over his shoulder and... well, let's just say I've never seen anything like it in my life. I mean, those were pretty spicy tamales! And my God, I've never seen so much Cholula sauce in my life!!! i'm STILL washing that stuff out of all the gear.

And don't even get me started on the whole "my HVX is bigger than your DVX" thing.

Last we saw him, he was curled up, naked, fetal position, next to a large cactus with ants all over his tobasco sauce covered feet.

Don't worry, Brandon, I destroyed all the footage. :lipsrseal EXCEPT for one tape. it's stored away somewhere safe, JUST IN CASE I need it one day.

Needless to say, I wound up shooting the spot myself. Footage looks pretty good. Not too shabby, I must say.

Actually, I didn't get a chance to work with Brandon on this project because of scheduling hiccups. I really missed him on the shoot because I honestly did not know what the hell I was doing.

Hopefully we'll get the chance on another project.
 
I just checked out The Beginner and I must say that it was pretty kickin' rad. Did you ever pull together that longer cut? Definitely looking forward to seeing what you're putting together for Adfest. Cheers!

Thanks Zoidoid. Still a "work in progress." The longer cut is still in the works. Hopefully by the end of summer I'll have something I'm happy with.

AdFest project coming along, finally. Thanks I hope you like it. Looking forward to yours as well. I'm doing some effects for the first time, as well. Learning on the job, as they say.
 
Gearing up for Day #2 of shooting, Thursday evening. Tom Marshall (tommyinla) is on board to act. Glad you can make it, my friend!
 
Finished up interior shots last night. Tom Marshall (tommyinla) brought his camera up and we had a blast shooting the scene.

I have one last "shot" to get this weekend. I've been cutting as I've been going along here, so as not to have a freak out deadline editing day this go around.

Well, the fest is just around the corner. Looking forward to it.

Just finished cutting this baby down to 30 seconds. Still have a little "clean-up" to do, but pretty much done cutting picture. I am working on sound and music now and also have a small little bit of effects to do.

Self-assessment so far: my best work to date. I hope you guys and gals think so to!
