New 35mm adapter

I've just realised that statement's slightly false - it's full size frame dimensions, but not full res. It's a 3mbps QT file straight from Vegas 6. I wish I had access to the QT7 codec, but those Apple bastards have screwed us PC people out of that for now :( :D

Anyway, it looks pretty damn good... and for the price, can not be beat.

Let me know Jim and I'll make a QT7 version for you on my Mac :-)

Thanks for posting that clip, Jim. It’s the only way for potential buyers to know what to expect from the adapter, especially a static one, where grain is the main concern.

The GG looks good though and I bet it will work well in a moving GG setup.

The relay lens question -- I'm not entirely sure, to be honest. I'll look into it. I just don't have an XL1 to play with, so I've got no way of knowing just yet. If this means you're volunteering for testing, let me know and I'll get one of the units out to you ASAP.

Jim, is there the possibility of a Go35HD as relay lens (and not just via step ring) to 1/3" CCD cams like Canon XL-H1, JVC HD100 and 1/2" CCD Sony PDW-F330 considering that these ones are interchangeable lens systems?
By now, I will be without any interchangeable lens camera with me 'till next June but maybe I'll know who can it be interested...

Okay, I'm a complete n00b when it comes to all this. I've been shooting on DVX100 for over a year here at SCAD, and love the camera, but like all of you, the lack of DOF drives me nuts.

This unit seems like a godsend to me. The test footage is marvelous, I adore it, but as a n00b, I have a few questions:

1) Where is the thread for this "Shoot Out" that happened between different adaptors? Even if the Go35 isn't included, I'd like to read that thread and compare the others.

2) What needs to be purchased in order to have the Go35 work with a DVX100 and Canon 35mm lenses? Or does it only work with Nikon?

Um...I guess that's all I can think of now.

Hiya...

Stealing a few minutes on the internet while on the road.

To work with the DVX100 and Canon FD lenses, you will need a 72-58mm step-down ring which I will have for sale at time of release ($5), as well as an FD mount, which is in development. I hope to have the FD mount done and shipped here by the end of April.

You'll be able to purchase both mount types, but the Nikon mount is by default included in the quoted $209. I may be able to swap it for an FD at no additional cost, but I'm not sure yet. If anything, it will be a pretty innexpensive add-on ($15-25).

For those who think the footage is soft (??) I'll clean the glass up and do another shoot this coming week.

Come on, more footage! lol..cant wait for this to go on sale, I'm ordering my Dvx100b on monday =). I really looking forward to this..

I wanted to know, which this lense attached, I wont be able to mount on an matte box right?

Silly question, I'm sure, but does the Go35 require any PERMANENT attachment to the camera in question? Or does it simply connect through an additional adapter or whatnot?

it attatches onto the thread of your camera, either directly, or through a step up/down ring depending on the thread size of your camera.
