FLOWER a flyin' monkey films production

So here's the official news from me to you: We're doing a werewolf movie.

Yes you heard it: "Flower" is a werewolf flick.

That's one of the reasons the makeup department has been of such huge importance, and the 50 naked men (and now women) are all werewolves.

I've signed on Elf Productions to do the CGI Werewolf as well as one transformation scene and work has been going quite well.

So there you have it. We're doing werewolves.

So... you take a beautiful woman like Jessica and make her a dog? WOOF!

Stop it. Flattery wins you no extra point mister!

Okay so we wanted to jump start the thread again huh?...
Well I'm meeting up with Damien and Robert tonight to go through the script and all those shenanigans.
We'll hopefully be able to get a podcast from those two turkeys.

So STAY TUNED!!!

Jessica and Robert are currently meeting. Damien is on his way. Hopefully they're taking this time to catch up and take those photos I asked for, as well as a little introductory video about their characters.

Sucks being so far away and not being there, but we've really gotta get the ball rolling. I;ve already had a couple of discussions about character, so they've been doing their character building exercises. By the time I get back we can go through the line line by line and do a breakdown for subtext and state of mind so we can build the best and most honest scene possible.

Never thought I;d say this: but I can't wait to get back to Toronto.

Besides, Brooklyn is damned hot right now. Just one more week...

Yeah...ummm...do you think that Toronto is like Alaska or something? Have you been gone THAT long?! You do know that the weather here is pretty much the same as it is in Brooklyn...sheesh.

Slight delay with my passport. Looks like I won't be travelling back to Toronto until after September 6th. Instead now I'll have to go through some very intense back and forth travelling, driving my wife and 15 month old up to the border in Buffalo, flying back to Brooklyn, waiting for my passport to arrive... until I can finally fly out of country again.

Moral of this story: if you're travelling with your passport, do not leave it in your pants when you do the laundry.

Now I have to ramp up production, but I need to get a Toronto based producer onboard. Only so much I can do from a distance, and rehearsals for this is so important... Maybe I can Skype the rehearsal, but it just feels so impersonal.

Argh.

 That is one heck of a pre-production adventure! I hope things smooth out and you get good rehearsals in. The passport situation here is getting pretty ridiculous lately.

I thought I had the weight of the world was on my shoulders. You are in Passport hell! And for the love of Peter, Paul and Mary - - don't skype rehearsals.

Awww come on: skyping rehearsals is the way of the FUTURE! Everyone is doing it these days!

Actually it's the last thing I want to do. Usually I trust my actors to develop their characters, but rehearsal is so important to direct them and rein them in from going too hog-wild. I really hope to resolve this situation very soon so I can be there in the flesh to terrorize the actors properly.
