Fitting with the Western Theme....

I agree. The vibe on this one is not like the others. Could be theme. I like the challenge personally,

I start shooting next month (A Chris Keaton Script) . I'm just waiting on some set pieces to arrive from the carpenter.

Cool!

For all you other folks, I have two period pieces that are easy to shoot requiring one room and two actors.

Case in point: I'm competing with guys who say things like "I'm just waiting on some set pieces to arrive from the carpenter" while I'm sitting here thinking "Now who do I know that owns a cowboy hat...?"

Sorry, I'm just bored at work today. This should be a fun fest, good luck to everyone.

LOL. It's a modified desk and chair. Sounds way cooler to say set pieces though:Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

^ Well it still sounds ambitious. You and Chris do good work.

I gotta be honest, I'm not feeling the whole Westfest thing. Just speaking on behalf of myself. I've been casually checking this section as a spectator and it does seem pretty dead.

I'm busy with another project and thats taking all of my time... could the the same for the other guys too. Catching up on work before the big push for the fest.

I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to MAKE time for this fest between a 12 hour a day full time job, a 15-20 hour a week part time job, and the 2 side projects that I'm in the middle of.

it's still months off, like Rodney said, people got lots of other projects on the go, real life, etc... I know I'm signed on to do another users script and we've been going through a few light tweaks to the story and stuff back and forth, but I'm not going to put up a thread for the film until I'm going full bore on it. Anything sooner seems premature is all... I think mid to late may is when you'll see it really pick up around these parts...

you know... this my first fest, and I hoped to make mistakes that I can learn from, and my first one was posting so quickly. I am going for something extremely ambitious, and I won't be able to pull it off, not remotely. I would need more screen time to make it work, but God help me- it's so much fun that I'm gonna try it anyway. I should have waited until the end of May to start putting things up though. Rookie mistake.

Rookie mistake.

No... no... you're fine. Rodney always posts about 2 seconds after the theme is announced and he's no rookie.
Of course the film he finally makes doesn't resemble the original post most of the time, but dag-nabit, he's always the first to post!

I'm still trying to get Alfred E. Newman to star in my film....
(his agent is a real b*tch!)
