GH2 FD adapters

Went through few earlier threads but could not get a clear answer.
Please recommend good adapters, which you have used.
What are the things to look out for in the design part?

I have a Fotodiox FD adapter coming any day. Already have a lens to try. I'll let you know how well it works.

I have Fotodiox adapters for EOS and C/Y both to m4/3 and have been very pleased. They work great, all they are is just a connector so nothing can really go wrong. Very smooth in mounting for the lens and body, no binding. Of course no aperture control on the EOS lenses, but with a 17-40 F4 and 24-105 F4 I just shoot wide open on those with no problems in average lighting.

And if ordering Fotodiox just order through Amazon, about 30% cheaper and free shipping of the same product from the same vendor.

Thanks for the feedback.
In other threads people have praised rainbowimaging adapter...checked on amazon...Fotodiox is 85$ whereas rainbow is 25$...Both appear to be of same quality. The user response on amazon for rainbow is better.
Jaime your adapter also looks similar.
Was wondering whats the difference between them and the much costly Novoflex?
Anybody who has used Rainbow please share ur experiences.

I just came across this post today, and I'm definitely going to wait for adapters from ebay seller ciecio7.

As it happens having all that extra illumination in there has the potential to increase the amount of internal reflection and thus reduce the contrast of the lens by having stray light reflecting around in the area between lens and sensor.

His newer adapters apparently have a mask that prevents extra light from entering the sensor (although the iteration before had a rim most of the way around that pretty much took care of things). Overall this seller seems to be continually refining the product, so this would be the safest bet if you really want to preserve the quality. He sells out regularly, and his next round is supposed to be coming in a week.

This adapter does look good. How much does it cost?..Is there a website of the manufacturer? Wish it could be directly shipped to India.

I sand the inside of my fd adapter so it has a matt finish. Out of the box most have a glossy finish.

I got one of his last batch, and it din't have that mask inside. I think in the end it's not necessary at all. I even saw that comparison review of his mk2 and mk3 versions, but if you read it in full, no difference was reported at all. I recommend this adapter, but don't necessarily expect a mask in there.

Thanks Lucas for making the point.
Is there any adapter, which has no problems in focusing to infinity? Better to buy that one....Back focusing could be tricky at times.

Just got the adapter..Hope to see it soon.
Two adapters sold for this batch of production..Seems like you got the first one and me the second one ;)
Thanks!

I have got one ciocie7 adapter, which i dont use and i am thinking the sell. If anyone interested

So here's a totally noob question. I just got a Canon FD 50mm 1.4, but my Ceico7 adapater is still in transit. I was looking over the lense, etc. and noticed that when I rotated the f-stop dial, the aperture blades didn't open and close. Will the blades only open and close when the lense is engaged to the camera? Or do I have a defective lense?

I will gladly trade any sound-post production question someone might have for this camera operation inquiry from a newbie to HDSLR videography. Thanks.
