Extreme Shipping!

Which one more-so, though? In SLR lens comparisons, Lenses tend to differ drastically in bokeh rendition. I haven't see anything so drastic in say M2 vs SGpro when the same lens is used.

I've been using a lot of the brevis with clf1 and my sgpro rev2 and there is a difference.
I believe there is a difference between the sgpro gg and the m2 cinescreen also but it is more slight.

Anyone who ordered end of last month (mine was on the Sep 29th) received their tracking order yet?

I wonder if the flare problem does eventually come down to the gg, would it be possible to change them ourselves?

This week or BUST!!!

This week or BUST!!!

Just got mine today from Adapter Place & a shipping statement from USPS.

I see what a very few people are talking about, but I see that type of Bokeh all the time in movies shot with film. Can't wait to get the thing and experiment with it myself.

There are two critical factors in bokeh rendering and each has nearly equal weight:

1. The lens itself, and perhaps more imporantly, what f-stop is being used!

2. The GG itself (which we call the imaging element). A risky way to get better light efficiency is to reduce diffusion, which carries with it a selection of problems in terms of acurate film bokeh rendition, ghosting, flaring etc.

There is no one magic bullet (pun intended) when it comes to adapters. Furthermore, what works well at f1.4 may be unusable at f5.6. It's a very subjective topic so what looks good to one person will be unacceptable to another...and that's we have the CF interchangeable imaging elements.

All,

Bokeh is art. I completely agree that one may love it, one might find it unacceptable. We think we have found a good balance. We DO NOT want to let user change the GG in the middle of the shoot if they want good bokeh, or if they want less grain, or if they want if they want better light loss. Doing this, you may invite dust in the process. You will be shock how fine the dust before they show up on your footage, because this is the plane of focus. There is nothing easier to let user doing this, but we have decided not to do it. Dust is only small problem (though it is huge problem). The main problem is you have to constantly change the GG during the shoot if you don't have a balanced system. We own the bokeh, we can make it whatever we want it to look. We have complete control over what you hold in your hand, the Extreme.

One more thing that Ryan has ruin my surprise. We found more light in the version that we released. Just want to tell you when you have in your hands. But Ryan, you spoiled it. It would've been a good selling point. But we chose to have fun through surprise, but again, Ryan, man, you!!! :-)

Thanks for the huge support of the Extreme!!!!

Thanks,

Hien

Thank you heinle for being so down to earth and the wonderful customer service you guys have offered me in the trade in of my letus fe and the purchase of letus ex.your bokeh is gorgeous.

I have to go n'dig it up. However, those who are ordering now should be seeing theres much sooner than those of us that ordered earlier.

I believe the turn-around, now that all assets seem to be in place, is a solid 2-3 weeks. PM Hien to get the most accurate info, but they're sending them out of the door swiftly.

It looks like the "21" portion of the order number is Letus Direct's code on top of Adapter Place's 3 digit code - I'm guessing you guys are 265 and 322 respectfully.

Then again I could be wrong :)

The numbers between AdapterPlace and LetusDirect are actually un-related.
AdapterPlace uses sequential 3 digit order numbers
LetusDirect uses 5 digit order numbers (not necessarily sequential).

Maybe we should just mention the dates we ordered for easier universal reference.

Mine was ordered on Sept 29th. Its supposed to ship on Tuesday (I think its Tuesday in USA now :cheesy:). Stalking my gmail now :kali:

Cinevate carbon rails came in yesterday. Just waiting for its soulmate to come now LOL

Glass makes all the difference.
Took the plunge and purchased a Nikon 35 1.4 and an 85 1.4. It's like having a new system. It's more than a stop I purchased. The sharpness and contrast is amazing. The bokeh on the 85mm is precious. Will post in the coming week.

True - true. I'm looking forward to seeing the 35 and especially the 85 in action!
