Envision & RebeccaD Present "Berlin"

I'm ready to go shopping! I love that era!

Rebecca's getting all fired up more about the clothes than the actual film, lol. Such a girl. :)

Me? I just want to have someone get shot, or see something explode ... or see someone simply get shot, then explode.

Spoken like a true testosterone male, lol.

Oh Oh...what if someone gets shot, the bullet explodes upon entry, then the "innocent" bystanders get "shot" by the exploding shrapnel  And then a car blows up, or something cool like that!!

Um, no, they would be hit by pieces of the person that exploded. :) It makes for more drama, as they wipe their friend off their face, like big thick beads of sticky sweat on a hot summer day ... all in silky smooth slo-motion, of course, for that extra dramatic effect.

Larry, LOVE the new avatar, BTW. Cool beans.

Yes, girls do have their sappy 'chick flicks'. Thankfully my wife & I have a great balance. I'll typically see her chick flicks with her (and admittadly love some of them - THE NOTEBOOK comes to mind, as well as comedies like JUST FRIENDS, etc.), and she'll see action flicks with me. In fact, most nights if we're going to pull out a movie, SHE is the one pulling out an action flick. God bless her.

Speaking of action, me & a few buddies are going to hit a happy hour, and then we're off to see the midnight screening of '300'. Should be fun!

Just re-read this one. I realized... I have no chance :)

That should be awesome!

I'll be seeing it tomorrow, earliest time possible.

So I take it this will be very Michael Bay-ish...

-zach-: What are you talking about? Of course you've got a chance! I'm looking forward to seeing yours, seriously.

Kdawg: Lol, I wish I was serious. This is a love story/drama, so the shrapnel & flying body parts might get in the way, since we're limited to six minutes or less. :)

Tommy: Hey buddy! Hmmm, I'm looking forward to getting in some powerful moving shots (ala Bay), but other than perhaps PEARL HARBOR, I don't think this will compare to any of his others. Maybe TRANSFORMERS, lol?

I'm sure you'll be able to pull it off, Norm. I'm actually anticipating watching what the story will be. Your main poster has the swastika in the background. Anything related to that? A lot of opportunity for a very rich story there.

Well, the swastika is to help establish the approximate time period, rather than plastering 1939, or similar year across the poster. I don't want to give too much away, other than it's a love story, a conflict of interest (so-to-speak), and .... well ... I'll leave it at that for now. :)

Rebecca & I went through the script today, and polished & added a few players to it. We feel real positive about this script, and thankfully so far those who've read it have responded well also.

Looking great, Norm. Rebecca totally rocks for leaping from project to project with you. -- That poster is wicked cool and totally beautiful. If you can get Jeremy to make a 1440x900 wallpaper of it I will throw it on my background IMMEDIATELY.

Rock on, guys! Go team!

Tommy, LA's too expensive ... I'd never be able to make the films for as little as I can make them here! You move up here. There, it's settled.

Thanks Kyle! While I know that's a compliment to Rebecca, is it a stab at me that she's able to put up with me, and what a trooper she is for still sticking with it?! LOL!

Great idea on the background. Ahem, Jeremy ... care to have folks have your name & work on the desktops? :) Odd wallpaper size request, but I'm guessing you're on wide screen. If yours is like mine was, there should be a pixel aspect ratio shift you can set it to, so that square objects still hold their shape, yet fill the screen.

I think the most popular sizes are still 800x600, 1024x768, and 1280x1024?

That would actually be a nice change of pace, but I think I need to be here...

And 1440 x 900 is what size my screen is. Nice wide laptop screen.

Norm and Rebecca, I just love what you guys are doing here and I am so excited to see your film. I wish that I had thought of a film in this time period! Should be great!

-Ted

Shawn, GREAT to hear!! I had included you as the Sound Mixer in hopes/anticipation, but it's a sigh of relief to know you'll be able to do it for sure. Yep, they're not going to be fun shoots, with regards to the hours. We can only have the location from 2am to 2pm, so they'll likely feel longer than normal!

Thanks, Ted. I'm KIND of hoping that since we've already snatched up that period, other folks will want to stay away from it so they don't look like they're copying, or specifically inspired by us, lol. That said, I'd certainly welcome more than one period piece out of 40, 60, or 80+ films.

Good times. Is Steve Waters not coming back for this one? Also I know a lot of actors and may be able to make some good recommendations, can you provide some breakdown of the uncast roles?
