Envision & RebeccaD Present "Berlin"

Wow, THAT'S luck of the draw, believe me! Though it does sound German, now that you mention it, Rebecca happened to know the owners, and approached them after mentioning the possibility of the location & how we could work the it into the story ... or in this case, the story around IT to some degree.

I know, I'm a loser for now ponying up the dough to fly cast & crew to Germany to film, when I can have a location that looks just as good here. Such a cheapskate ....

By the way, Norm, I'm stopping reading your thread for this Fest after it reaches ten pages.

There was this really obscene thread in the last Fest that hit about 85 pages and, well ... you know.

Are you going to shoot it in black and white? Noir style? With double breasted suits and soft focused actresses? If you are, GO FOR IT!!! I would love to see someone do something in this vein. We have an episode of The Jade Egg set in Nazi Germany which will be done in a Noir style but in color.

Ten pages? Brian, yours will EASILY hit at LEAST 11, so why the grief?! And 85 pages had nothing on THREAD THE NEEDLES runaway train, lol.

William (Bill?), I know I won't have it shot B&W, but it could be an interesting look via post. More than likely, it'll have a slightly more cross-processed/desaturated look, but definately more noir ... not harshly so, however for some story reasons I can't go into.

Good luck on the entry, Norm!

Berlin, eh? Cool title. *cursed with 'riding on the Metroooo' stuck in my head.*

Nice location shots, Norm/Rebecca... especailly the interior shot. I can't wait to see how you use that ceiling!!!

Hey, are you entering this fest?

Hello all! Sorry I was unable to post earlier! We are so excited about this film! I love that time period so much as well. Thank you all for your support of our latest venture.

Rebecca, glad to see you could join the party, lol! Hope you had a great weekend, as well as a great trip with the family to Mexico!

Jack, there will be NO Magic Bullet filters ... well, not if I'm in a time crunch at least. I don't have the right video card for it, so the render is like 10x longer than normal. That said, I do like sometimes adding one of their filters at a lower opacity, just for a bit of edge, but not full on Magic Bullet.

William (WIF), totally true about how sad it was that one man could destroy the country like that, though we won't be focusing on that in our story.

Movie Stunts/Elton, thanks! We thought it would be a provocative time period & style as well. Extremely excited to do this, especially with all the players we're looking to bring into it.

Thanks, Ted, yeah that ceiling is incredible. It's one of the features that Rebecca had told me about before we even went to look at it, so we'll have to find some way to make it into the film. Maybe we'll have paratroopers storm the place & come crashing through it on ropes?

Jeremy Tuttle does it again

Jeremy Tuttle does it again

:2vrolijk_08: This guy's incredibly gifted. Updated first page/post with his poster concept, knocking it out of the park on the first try. If there are any further adjustments to it, they'll be little, if any. Thanks, Jeremy!

First draft's been completed & to Rebecca for review/collaboration.

Shooting dates are set for the weekends of April 21st & 28th.

Really looking forward to this, any film you two seems to touch turns to magic and im sure this one will be no different. Even from what I seen so far. Good luck.

Hey Norm. From one Sanders to another, I'm looking forward to seeing your SpyFest entry. I love the title and banner treatment. Great work.

Thanks, Ki-Ki. Though we don't have a long track record yet, we do work well with each other & see big things for this one.

Robert, I just checked out your site. WOW! You've got some SOLID work on there. LOVED Scene 10. All of your work has such a large cinematic value to it. Wouldn't mind at all working with you some day.

BTW, incredible opening animated company logo. Classy.
