Ted - just go as a Roady. I'm sure Rebecca would love to have someone to order around during the gig
That's a great idea!!! I do a lot of roadie work!

Rebecca, I don't blame you for being hesitant to let Norm put that up... but rest assure, you sound great!

meaning... she's singing without any audible accompaniment and she's got you swinging that damn camera all over the place!!! (funny though, your camera work totally reminded me of a lot of my footage!!!) :)

Lol. don't be too sensitive, Norm. Its all good and the camera work was just fine!

Ted, you could be a roady, possibly!

Larry, I boss all the band members around, so nothing new there. :Drogar-Love(DBG):

caught it a few days ago, very nice. I always have a soft spot for a woman who can sing. Something about it. I am sure you will get the chance to sing in one of Norm's films again.

Thanks! I do hope so! We would love to get Berlin off the ground at some point. :)

There's a very old saying. "A wise man learns from his mistakes, a wiser man learns from the mistakes of others." Your wisdom prevented you from telling my story

Though we live in the same area, and know some common people, I've never met you Norm, but would call you a very wise man. I, like others before, and who will again, did what you didn't allow yourself to do, and that is take a film into production knowing corners would be cut, everything would have to come off just right, and you'd have to wing too much. I made that same mistake with a script that meant a lot to me and I put a mammoth amount of effort into. I didn't have the time, days, or resources I needed, but be damned, I went into production anyway, and I paid for it dearly. I ended up with 90% of needed footage, too many continuity errors, too many audio errors, many great shots, and an unfinishable film letting everyone I worked with down who put in a termendous amount of hard work. And it's eaten my guts out at times ever since.

Sorry if that sounded too laced with self-pity. It's not like I have the Joy Division records going and the razor blades sharpened. The project I spoke of was from a few years back.

But it does take a lot of guts to drop something not ready, and I wanted to show what can, and often does, happen when you jump anyway.

BERLIN - Rising from the ashes ...

BERLIN - Rising from the ashes ...

Just an announcement that BERLIN is officially going back into pre-production, with a current date set for mid to late October of this year (even the month/season matches the poster beautifully, like that was the month it was meant to be made in)! :2vrolijk_08:

Mods, feel free to move this thread over to the User Films section. The final cut will likely be at least 15-20 minutes long, so I doubt I'll post it on the web, but do plan on updating this thread with pre-production and BTS as they come up.

Thanks for the encouragement of this film, everyone, since March of this year, and we look forward to being able to see it finished before the end of the year!

Oh, and Snowleopard, thanks for the props & the understanding. I'm sorry you had to go through what you did with your project ... the very reason why I felt ours needed to be cancelled/delayed. I'm glad I did it. It will be a better film than it ever would have before, had we made it at that time.
