Dvxusers Only! SmallHD Special Group Pricing

Yes, you won't be disappointed...I love mine and I didn't get the 10% so you guys are all lucky! The upgrade method is second to none in ease and smarts! They really thought this product through and are very responsive.

My (2nd) DP6 just shipped. Thanks for putting together the group buy - 10% meant another couple of batteries.

I submitted my contact form so I can get in on the group discount last Fri (3 bus. days ago). Now its going on 4 days and I still havent heard a response from them. How long did it take for you to receive a reply with your discount code? Thanks.

I would probably give them a call if I were you. Maybe it didn't go through or maybe your email bounced?

Would def call them or re-submit - I sent mine in yesterday at 6:30am (eastern) and got a reply by 7am, and my order shipped a few hours later.

Should be going through Canada customs right now...

I was in the first group buy and man is this monitor sweet. I've used it at several shoots now and everyone on set was really impressed with it's image quality. Plus it looks great on the zacuto rails with a nikon 17-35 hanging off the front.

Do you have a picture of your setup? Im thinking of getting the DP6 with my 5D but not sure how to mount it yet. Arm? Hotshoe?

I have an HPX170. Has anyone used the bracket to attach the Panasonic battery to the back of the smallHD monitor? Work well ? I'm deciding between getting more Panasonic batteries or getting two of the smallHD batteries.
Thank you for setting this up! I've been looking at monitors (and plenty of posts here) for two months and the timing of this is perfect - I had decided on the smallHD. And thanks to all who post - I've been reading posts here for 8 months and have gotten buckets of help.

Just had a (very) quick response from smallhd - great support: basically at the moment there is no dedicated bracket to accept Sony EX1 or Panasonic GH2 batteries. Which is probbaly fine in the latter case since they are as rare as hens teeth anyway :)

So - can anyone suggest a workaround? Or is the unit's battery the only way?

Also - have been reading some info about a yellowish tinge on DP6 images. Apparently improving with each firmware update. Since the ease of the latter is a strong motivator for me to get DP6 rather than others on market does anyone know a solution to the yellow colour issue? Is it true, even?!

Thanks!

I have one and haven't noticed any particular tint. Screen seems to match up well to what I'm getting. Build is awesome, upgrade system is awesome, integrated battery option is awesome, fit and finish is top notch...I'd buy it again especially with the discount over the tvlogic.

I have the Panny battery plate. Works great so far, batteries lock in really tightly. Obviously adds a bunch of weight and bulk to the back of the monitor when you have two of the large batteries on there though... but it should power it all day long I imagine.

Hey Ryan, are you able to correct anamorphic desqueeze with this monitor and your lomo lenses?

Currently you can only squeeze down the image about 80% to 3:1 (instead of the full 3.56:1) but it's still amazing. It's so exciting to see a lovely (just about) proper image while I'm shooting. I have corresponded with the small HD folks (they're great) and they are aware that we'd like a 3.56:1 image and are working on it. I'll be helping test their new firmware which I hope will have this feature.

I'll take some photos of the monitor in action soon, might be shooting a little something tonight.

That would be cool if they listened to your request for the update. I'd def buy it with a full squeeze.

Just wanted to say thanks to the original poster for setting this up. Just picked up a Small DP to go between an incoming AF100 and my 60D. Excited.
