No harm, no foul.
I just go by what I'm told directly by the manufacturer...I figure they know their products best.
This is a public forum so there's no way to control what's posted here. Viewer beware and make your own choices.
igus product is used by Glidetrack, T-Jib, IndiSlider Pro, Kessler and ZazaSlider... and with all the linear motion companies out there... there must be a reason.
So... those who want to investigate more or feel they have a problem, please contact igus directly...or use your lubricant of choice if you feel that helps.
All I can go by is my own experience, and in the two years I've been using my slider, I have never had to lubricate it.
I simply wipe the rail off every now & again with a clear dry cloth. My rail doesn't make an exorbitant amount of noise
and is still smooth as silk. Perhaps it's because I have well more than 200 cycles on it...who knows?
Go forth and slide my slippery friends....
Run the slides dry. Any lubricant that you add will pick up dirt/dust, creating an effective grinding paste. In a really clean environment, you can reduce the friction by adding lubricants, but using the slides as you guys are doing, you will get problems.
