, and it does not help that we have a president who is clearly unsuitable to handle this crisis.
Adobe just pulled out of NAB.
I try to do this all the time. Not only because of any potential virus but because our building has a lot of kids and those run around eating ice cream and wiping nose at the same time, which can make the doors and the elevator buttons a tad too "greasy" sometimes and I hate that feel on the touch.Coughed and sneezed inside my shirt collar with my elbow over that. Pulled my long sleeves over my hands for every door, elevator button and object. Was surprised how immediately it became habit...
Technically speaking, there's a cumulative effect to the bacteria, which is why these crew members on cruise ships have a much higher infection rate than the passengers. The crew works mostly indoors, with these bacteria being recirculated in their proximity. The passengers eat and do whatever the passengers do, often outside. And an hour in the sun in an open air is often enough to smother what basteria did penetrate by both the external factors and the body's own immunity system.Washing your hands only makes sense if you wash your hands and don't touch anything else (obviously not your orifices), or only disinfected surfaces.
Because if you wash your hands and then touch your tripod handle again that has the virus then it's on your hands again.
You'd have to continuously wipe every single surface you come in contact with. Exhausting and maybe impossible depending on your life....
If one person has it on his or her hands and leaves the room and touches a bunch of public handles and then other people in the building touch those handles then it's all over the place. You'd have to live in a bubble to keep away (which I guess is why that saying exists).
Yes, many scenarios and questioning are all valid...too many possibilities, too many people, surfaces.
But on a side note, the process of washing hands in a public bathroom and then touching the exit handle on the way out (or even the faucet) has always been a common mystery in life. I never understood it; the act made no sense unless you trusted all surfaces to be clean every second of the day.
Personally, I've used napkins to touch public handles since I could start to form thoughts, but in general have tried to avoid them or followed people on the way in or out and handled doors with my elbows (you then don't want to stick your nose into your elbow after doing that!).
Don't ask me to press your floor's button, lol, j/k.
But then there's always the thought of accidentally touching the napkin the wrong way while you are throwing it out. Or just in general, breathing, lol.
It never ends if you are conscious of these things but that's no way to live a life.

The one that cracks me up is when the restroom has either an automatic sink and manual paper towel dispenser or manual sink and automatic paper towels.
That's why I never wash my dishes!
