And Smartsystem steadicam type two section arm looks very promising. Extremely low profile, while giving a good feel and boom range.

And SWIT batteries has a little dual mount battery mount that can attach to light stands and ither tubular shapes. It has 24v and 12v outs. Mainly for powering lights.

That won't get the thread shut down. DLD is right. We need to talk about profit margin and rich people.

Besides, you can't take my stealing 'pastrami' for votes and modifying it to 'pastrami sandwich'. That's ... that's ... Ohhh! .......... Pastrami!

But I up voted your pastrami sandwich anyway.

Trade mark. Trade mark. I claim trade mark on 'pastrami'!

Well, I did say I stole it. Who could it have been that I stole it from? Hmmm. Was it some guy from Long Island?

So the reason I chose that particular word in response to Mitch's comment (a few month's ago) was because he once told us a few years ago his favorite food (or something along those lines) was a good pastrami sandwich.

lol.

Spirit lab made a very nuetral lens. It has almost no exciting features.... except that there are no exciting feautres... these lenses get out of the way and let you shoot.

I liked Zeiss Standards for their neutral rendering, but Spirit may be something worth looking into, as finding good copies of the Standards could be difficult. I’d love to test these agaisnt the standard sand the sumire’s. The Tokinas are almost in a league of their own.

The Spirits did feel that compelling at first. But after walking away, i find myself thinking they may actually be on to something.

Have you seen Geoff Boyle's recent lens comparison video? It's available on the testing page at the CML website. Worth checking out what a lot of these lenses look like, in particular those Spirit Lab lenses.

Is there irony here about anything being off topic?

And Enjoy Going Off Topic and then Enjoy Complaining About it

For those who aren’t enjoying the off topic organic flow:

“Wu Wei (chinese, literally “non-doing”) is an important concept of Taoism and means natural action, or in other words, action that does not involve struggle or excessive effort. Wu wei is the cultivation of a mental state in which our actions are quite effortlessly in alignment with the flow of life.”

Pronounced woo way, AKA - go with the flow.

The off-topic conversations keep the forums fun.

Most people understand how to work in and out - or segue just a bit - or not go off at all when there's a good conversation going.

Sometimes a/the topic naturally runs its course and there's not much else to say about it until a new development or invigoration.

Y'all have not lived until you have embraced the glory that is a Katz's Deli pastrami on rye with brown mustard. Pickles on the side and your pick of Dr. Brown's Celery Soda or Black Cherry.

Burp, indeed.
