This is the result of having immediate access to information.

You can read, write, and/or learn about almost anything at anytime almost anywhere in the world. Add the pressure of society, or just trying to survive, and you have your modern-day results.

When you don't have access to so much information (and so quickly), brains are not able to develop in the same manner.

I make my children watch all the Gordon Ramsey shows like Hell's Kitchen and tell them to strive to be like him.

But seriously, the pattern is that the elders fear for the youth. It happens every generation. Look at what a bunch of idiots baby boomers were when they were young (and I suppose, still are from the Millennial view). But youth are made up of the usual mix from generation to generation. The dopes will be dopes and the smart ones will be smart no matter what is going on around them.

One of the big differences(problems), now, is that the "dopes" have platforms, outlets and that worldwide megaphone called the internet that they didn't in previous generations.

[Edited to reduce length]

Start here: it gets more interesting every time you re-listen to it, especially over a period of years:

Listen to Alan Watts (all the lectures)...

JCS, there are some interesting, heady concepts in there. But they're dressed up in a LOT of heavy language. You've been studying the art of communication. I think if you were able to communicate your rather esoteric ideas in much shorter, simpler form with normal, everyday language you would have greater impact.

I quite agree. As Mahatma Gandhi once said:

"Be careful as your beliefs become your thoughts,
Your thoughts become your words,
Your words become your actions,
Your actions become your habits,
Your habits become your values,
Your values become your destiny."

And I imagine that as a group our values create the world's destiny, so Think Postive.

P+S “like Kowa” anamorphics. A character lens that seems easy to work with.

Tokina single coating lenses were fantastic. Hard to say, but they felt shpaer that the sumire, yet milkier, as well. But.... i wouldn’t call these heavy character lenses. They still remain composed and well put together. They are sharp wide open and not overly contrasty. They may even flare better than sumire. I like that these lenses are shaper than the cla
ssic Zeiss Super Speeds.

Huge sensor coverage.

Spirit lab made a very nuetral lens. It has almost no exciting features.... except that there are no exciting feautres... these lenses get out of the way and let you shoot.

I liked Zeiss Standards for their neutral rendering, but Spirit may be something worth looking into, as finding good copies of the Standards could be difficult. I’d love to test these agaisnt the standard sand the sumire’s. The Tokinas are almost in a league of their own.

The Spirits did feel that compelling at first. But after walking away, i find myself thinking they may actually be on to something.

Nelsonian Optics Inifinity lenses.

Vocas has a dedicated split diopter mount. 138mm ring.

Bright Tangerine has gloves. Itnis nice to have gloves that are less “grip” centric, while still being affordable work gloves.
