Celene Dion. Not a serious babble, just a babble...

Well this was bound to happen. Just finished watching an ad for C.D boasting x million album sales.

I can't stand her. Can't stand her husband. Can't stand her music.
Can't imagine anyone even buying this smluck.
Who buy's this...smhlulk?

She can sing. Crap that is.

Any fans? Because I'm not one of the apperent millions.
If so, let me have it. :)

edit- something about this post is really annoying me. I think it is the term "cheesy joke." If anybody else is annoyed, I apologize.
 
I don't like her music, but I dig that she just does what she wants and doesn't care that people think she's a goof.
 
My gf likes her. Her voice, and all those love songs from a woman's pov.

I can only stand a few seconds of her, maybe, at low volume, with my ears plugged, asleep, heavily medicated. Agree though that James Horner and Will Jennings wrote a nice song for Titanic.

Smoke and mirrors, buddy,smoke and mirrors...and I don't mean her show's special effects.
 
I promised my wife I'd take her to see Celine's Vegas show before it ended. I wasn't a fan and I had to mortgage the house to pay for the tickets, so I wasn't thrilled. However, I have to say that her show was impressive. She really puts her heart into it and the production was awesome. Never thought I'd find myself defending Celine Dion, but what the heck.
 
Going off the title of this thread "Celene Dion or..." it leads me to believe we were left with options.

My ideas about you guys have been completely destroyed. The disillusionment! The disillusionment!
 
I do dig some of her work...
...but at least she has real talent
(unlike 98.999998% of so-called"artists"
today...and that goes for every genre)​
 
I don't buy her albums, but I like her, case in point:

1. She sings in PITCH - how many singers today can't accomplish this most basic feat.

2. No other artist has had a casino/business BUILD a stage for her to perform with a five year contract to boot.

3. She's absolutely popular in TWO LANGUAGES.

4. She sings CONVINCINGLY so that you believe her words as she utters them to you.


The girl has chops, I just wish she could sing songs that weren't for my grandma to hear.
