To whom it may concern: 30/25/24p @ 1080 is true. 720/60p is not

Just got it confirmed.

No 720/60p? How quickly you can get disappointed. This is probably going to happen on a couple of items, but still this camera takes a nice step forward.

Well, I do slightly hope that he's got that one wrong myself. Anything extra is fine, even if it just doesn't get used. But what he said was that it's mistranslated and it means that it can use shutters corresponding to different frame rates. 1/48 for 24p and 1/50 for 25p.

I did point out that it specifically said "Frame Rates" but let's see what happens tomorrow.

So it can take EF and EF-S lenses??

24/25P? Yes!
Makes it better than the 5D MkII for me already!

"In addition, can be realized per second 30/25/24 frames, resolution 1920 × 1080 pixel full HD movie capture, the use of high-definition picture quality (1280 × 720 pixel resolution) and standard-definition (640 × 480 pixel resolution) is able to 60/50 frames per second shooting. the shooting and the general PAL video formats (resolution 720 × 576 pixel, 25 frames / sec) compared to television programs, a higher quality, play a more fluid, and can support an external microphone stereo recording. "

Looks to me like that implies actual faster frame rates and not shutter speed. Why would they mention proper 1/50 and 1/60 shutters since it's obviously a given, 5d already has it. I am banking on the translation being correct and we will get 720p50/60.

Well if the specs are correct, and the low light still performance is acceptable, Canon just won me over. This would be my current dream camera. As a filmmaker and a photographer...oh my.

Sorry Nikon. But there is a very small window of oppurtunity to step up the game before im out.
