"In addition, can be realized per second 30/25/24 frames, resolution 1920 × 1080 pixel full HD movie capture, the use of high-definition picture quality (1280 × 720 pixel resolution) and standard-definition (640 × 480 pixel resolution) is able to 60/50 frames per second shooting. the shooting and the general PAL video formats (resolution 720 × 576 pixel, 25 frames / sec) compared to television programs, a higher quality, play a more fluid, and can support an external microphone stereo recording."

Looks good.

Yes, shooting 720, 640, w/ 720 60fps was news to me. I don't think it has an articulating screen. The other big news: end of September ship date!

Placing my order this week.

Fingers crossed, hope this isn't a rumor and faked specs. If this is true then Canon just made things much more interesting. 24P and manual control with dual digic 4 should be sweet. We'll find out tomorrow.

I think it was mentioned somewhere at $1699. Waiting to see if tomorrow will be disappointing. Hoping for 24fps & 720 60fps to stay true. That would make it worth it by itself (of course w/ manual controls). Not happy with a 1.6 crop factor for the stills side of things, but for video not that big of a deal. I don;t need to shoot with razor sharp DOF.

60p at 720p would be fantastic.

I'm not that familiar with Canon's line, where would this fit in compared to some of their other well known cameras?

Questions !

1) How good will the 7D be in low light (specifically compared tot he 5DII) ?
2) How much do you think the 7D is likely to cost ?
3) Who wants to buy my 5DII ?

Nikon and Canon battle between similar camera lines. This would fall in the Nikon 300s stills comparison (not close on the video side of things). It's an improvement to the Canon 50D that is already out. There is a little questioning about Canon's use of "7D" instead of 60D, so maybe that will get explained tomorrow.

1) Should be close, maybe a little less (will see).
2) $1699 is the rumor
3) No thanks. It's great, so keep it and wait to see if 24fps will come as a firmware (if it is a hardware limit, then you will have to sell and get the 7D to get in camera 24fps).

24/25p at 1080, 60p at 720. Sold! This was what I was waiting for. This is my next camera. As for low light, I'm 100% sure this thing will smoke my HVX out of the water, and might even be better than the Red One. It should most certain ly be better than 2/3rd CCD cameras.

I'm in. Searching everywhere to order, is ordering happening tomorrow?

I'm sorry I'm not informed on how to buy online, I read a couple of ppl said they're placing orders asap.

Where?

Man I'm hyperventilating this is it. A 5Dish pic in PAL and slomo.

No word on orders. I think maybe tomorrow. Have to form a plan on how to get one the fastest - local or online? Will try both after the announcement.
