Most places have it now. I just ordered mine from B&H. The battery grip still is not available yet.
Awesome, thanks.

Ok...some thoughts here...
Moire looks about the same with the previous models...I was hoping for some improvement but Im not surprised it didnt happen...personally it doesnt bother me that much...
What do you guys think? To me it looks cleaner but I d like to hear some more opinions...
@.@I do hate the moire, but go to Planet 5D and watch his AF demonstration...it's pretty revolutionary to have such precise AF on a large sensor camera. It's not the ugly kind of AF that you normally see, it's extraordinary....like someone is pulling focus, but perfectly.
The AF is really, really nice. If it had no aliasing/moire and had a CF slot so ML could make it record RAW, it could be the best camera in the market. But...
Yes...they will put that AF in the 7DII...and no...it will not have that articulating screen...but guess what...it will have a headphone jack...and then we will all go nuts...![]()
Magic lantern will give you a headphone jack through AV for my 6D, but it would be nice to have a dedicated one.
How quickly do the Canon DSLRs usually take to get hacked? I don't need raw, but if I can monitor audio with headphones and levels on the 70D that'd be great.
I finally decided to buy it...next week I ll have it in my hands...
I couldnt resist to that new AF and the better high ISO performance just sealed the deal...I feel its a good upgrade from the 60D...
It was only available as a kit with the 18-55 STM at B&H though...but now that I think about it, that kit could be really nice for steadycam work...
Mine came today. I wasn't excited at all about this when it was first announced but now I'm glad I upgraded. Sold my 60D body off so the upgrade cost was minimal. It's a pretty sick combination with the new Sigma 18-35 1.8 lens.
Favorite features so far:
- ALL-I compression AND no more 12-minute recording limit
- Tracking autofocus is quite good actually. I can see myself using this, especially with a Movi-type rig.
- Time code
- ISO performance increased as mentioned above
All in all, not a bad upgrade. Would've liked to have seen a bit more DR improvement and some help in the moire department for a 4-year upgrade but overall it's not a completely pointless upgrade. The autofocus is so much better than anything I've ever seen from Canon. It actually works and the touchscreen makes it easy. I am surprised to say that I can see several instances (racks for instance) where this will come in quite handy. No more re-racking to try and nail the perfect focus, and the speed is right on.
What are the lenses for which autofocus works on the 70d?
Only the two STM Canon lenses?
Any lens with AF I believe. I've been using it with the Sigma 18-35 1.8 and it works pretty darn well.
How's the image quality
