Sorry I'm lagging I've been out of town. But I just found out! Thanks everyone :) the same to you all as well, congrats, everyone of those finalist deserves it :) good luck to everyone.
 
congrats. definitely the most emotional film of the fest to me. has technical weaknesses but emotionally thanks to the actors and shot composition this was #1.
 
Thanks a lot guys we worked hard on this film and I really wanted it to be a emotional film. I'm really glad you like it. :)
 
I am so happy people are liking the film. There is a big movie feel felt when watching this short. :thumbsup:

The strengths of By Hook or Crook are simply this:

It has HORSES and a great chase scene...
It has a wonderful script...
It is beautifully shot on the GH1...
It has a gun fight...
It has a good guy and a bad guy...
It has stunts...
It has seriously good costuming...
It has wonderful acting...
It has a STORY that draws you in emotionally...

Oh yeah... Did I mention it actually has HORSES? :grin:

Congratulations Troy for making it to the finals!

LOL! Actually, I am half brain-dead due to the week long lack of sleep at the Action on Film Festival. It is interesting how your cognitive abilities degrade after a week of only 2 hours of sleep a night. I am going to rebuild a 1950 Chevy engine today with half my brain tied behind my back...

Isn't it great to make the finals for WestFest? Yay! :grin:
 
Are you going to LA this weekend for Westfest? Never heared how By Hook Or Crook did at Action on Film, I know Stricken did well!:laugh:

wow thanks man, Im really glad you liked it. It was a lot of fun to shoot. Also I am expanding on the idea and making this a feature. :) So hopefully we will start shooting this time next year. Thanks again. :thumbsup:
