Don't tell me that... I shoulda never said it took an hour... I went the opposite approach than I did with sci-fest, I went SIMPLE. Instead of trying to do this big immersive story (like I did in sci-fest) UGH!

JUST averages of total number of votes for each film.

If twenty people vote on I.D. and give it a 7
and 2,000 people vote on into the Darkness and give it a 6

then I.D. wins

Darkline mentioned that he wondered if attention would play a factor and I was using thread views as a rough barometer of film views but there is no official correlation,

But it seems reasonable that if A Brief Case was the 30th viewed thred, then the film itself probably got less views and number of votes than say Spidey, the highest viewed thread of Sci Fi or me the 2nd highest viewed thread of Sci Fi and even the next few threads.
 
1 hour, I couldn't get one shot...Brice needs to do a feature...You've got real skills...and more importantley your willing to learn...and your young...geeeezzz...you've got it ALL.

ah thanks dude. I am working my way toward that. Did you look at Smuggler's Ransom yet? That's nearing feature length :)

I think that the 1 & 2 spot could go either way and the 3 & 4 spots could go either way. But that is how I see them.

I think I'll be around in the top 10. I think for effort I get a fricken 1 spot! For entertainment, a top 3 spot. But for best film... this is how I see them.

Sorry B-man, not a bad film (at all) just not enough substance.

I think you are missing what I am saying ... I'm saying you could have very low # of votERS and win.

Just because a film got a lot of people to watch it doesn't mean it will rate high.
The Ben Afleck Pearl Harbor movie had a killer opening weekend but it sucked.

My whole point was that a very good film that got little attention placed 3rd in Sci Fest.

Typically the top two places have happened to go to the threads with highest views and third has been a wild card. BUT this was BEFORE there was any promotion, so the notion that the films got attention because they were good seems pretty likely. No one had ever seen Spidey's work before Sci Fest or my work before Zombie Fest and there was no promo, but we had very large threads.

BUT ... with the PROMO all of that is out the window ... because there are many reasons that people may have gone to a thread other than the film being good.

Otherwise it would just be a matter of which prize movie master and I would be taking home this time withe the highest viewd threads. And I would wager Movie Master will not be in the top 3.
