Blackmagic URSA : full Fledged Camera

I think this is a camera that you need to rent before you buy.

I feel this way about every new camera... But yes, especially this one. I think a lot of people might find it is too much for a small show. Very curious to play with it, but I'm certainly not holding my breath for a July release.

Different people have different needs. And now there's a great camera at a great price for almost all of those types. I love living in the future.

The largest Cfast card I could find was the Sandisk 120GB for $1200. How much 4K raw footage would fit on that?

Hey, no way, sorry that Really oversized !

Questions
No SSD, just crazy CFast priced and slow speed ?

No 60p at 4K ?

10 inch !¿? will be best to put a projector ! 10 inch is too much

I think its much better the Aja with 4k60p prores internal recorder that output 4k120 external raw, smaller (look like phantom's)

Waw, if this camera can compete on ISO it will revolutionize the 4k market at this price range. Waiting to see what canon and Nikon DSLR have in store for 4k at this NAB if any?

...One thing to keep in mind is that this is a MODULAR camera, so new sensor blocks could come down the pike in 6-12 months and all of the specs would change again.

By the time URSA is ready for delivery, the price of Cfast would have also come down tenfold :)
July delivery?

Blackmagic keeps shooting around, I think, the camera that would sell best in their price range: a DVX-style body (with interchangeable lens mount, of course).

QFHD? 4K 24p only? 8 kgs? No thanks, i'll go the Fs700 with O7Q route.

does anyone really want an 8kg external recorder with 10 inch display hooked up to their DSLR - thought that hdmi mount was a joke when i read it...

looking forward to the first reviews though!

I think it's essentially last years production camera in a new body...which is cool, but it will still be poor in low light and still doesn't have the ND filters, which I find odd.

Is this the same sensor as the production camera? 400 ISO? 12 stops, global shutter. It looks like the same specs.
