betrayalFEST - WINNERS

Congrats guys! Looking forward to the first!

I was planning on sitting out the next fest, but now it's sounding a bit tempting.

congrats!
and looking forward to finding out what this WestFest thing is all about.
Uh maybe now I get to use that sweet compas that came in my iPhone!

all I know is that if there is any "ern" in that "west" than Marlon already has a head start! lol...

Been so buried in life & post production, forgot today was THE day for the announcements! Congrats everyone on completing a film in the first place, and especially to the top 3 winners ... and of course to Ben & team for an incredible job well done with ROM!

I'm proud to have been a part of this fest.

Well done to all the winners! ROM totally deserved it!! Very pleased about that result. Congratulations to Tim and Namlok also; both very enjoyable films.

Congrats to the winners. Ben, you are so persistent and prolific in your entries to these fests you put many of us to shame. Well deserved.

Told you Ben! Now you owe me a cinnabon!

If you are ever in Charlotte, there will be Cinnabon waiting for you.

Congrats BEN!!! DUDDEEE!!!!

Congratulations Ben, and all the finalists :)

Congrats to the winners. Ben, you are so persistent and prolific in your entries to these fests you put many of us to shame. Well deserved.

I can't say thanks enough. A lot of people worked very hard on ROM, but I want to personally say congratulations to Matthew Bumby (DVXuser distich), his name deserves to be right up there next to mine. We all wear a lot of hats on set, but Matt was the co-writer, co-producer, assistant director, brought 80% of the set decorations, did a great job on the titling VFX, (insert more stuff I'm forgetting) and was pretty much instrumental to the success of the film.

Congrats Matt on your first film, I can't promise we'll win everytime, ok?

Congratulations Ben and ROM CAST and CREW. To me first place was a no-brainer... any entry that gives me goosebumps in two places... and leaves me glassy eyed at the end... and just staring at my monitor for a couple minutes afterward in a catatonic state... is probably going to win.

Congrats to second place as well... Occupational Hazards was fantastic... a perfect concept well executed... that certainly didn't lose anything, but was beaten by a freak storm of sorts (no offense ROM... I don't know how else to put it). This was a clear winner for me... and one of the two shorts that sticks in my head all day.

Congrats to XEPOJ... this was also very well done.

For the rest of the finalists... I have to say in due respect and honesty... that I WOULDN'T be surprised if third place (and arguably for some, second) were very close among several entries. There was a lot of really impressive stuff this time around... I'd like to see a highlight reel like they do at the oscars... with the best moments of the fest... because some of the entries had amazing moments that were equal to anything else in the whole fest.

Congrats to everyone... and congrats to all those who put out an entry.

Thanks for the kind words Matt!

It must've been very close indeed. I gave all my top picks the same rating and figured someone else will have to decide. We're extremely happy with the results!!

Congrats to everyone on this list! Lots of hard work and it show.

The top three are exactly as I had predicted (in my mind - hehe).

I've been attending many of the short film sessions at the Cleveland Intnl. Film Fest this past weekend and let me tell you, ROM would have had no problem being one of the better films of the bunch (let me qualify... there were some extremely well done films).
