General Best Lcd viewfinder for the 60d

I have this exact same hood that I got for my T2i a while ago. ($65 us)
Worked great but....... It mounts by putting a metal square on your cam with some sticky stuff on one side. The metal square covered a little of the screen, which didn't really hinder anything but I live in Florida where it's hot sometimes. Sticky stuff kinda melted a little and it ended up not staying on very much after a while. The 60Ds screen is going to be even more of a problem because of it's swing out design and size. (not to mention that the screen WILL NOT close if the little metal part is stuck on the screen. (risk breaking the hinge?)

I wouldn't get it unless you want to do the rubber band thing like the recent post by Rockwell on his 60D hood. (which I will be doing with this shortly)

The cheapest solution I've found with a decent mounting option is the Cavision with the T2i adapter plate (that's for a T2i though). About $170 for the setup, it has a plate that mounts to the camera's tripod screw, with a swing-away function and it can slide fore and aft. You'd need to see if they have a plate for the 60D - in a pinch you could likely make something. Cavision actually answers the phone in my experience, so you could check with them.

The cavision doesn't have an adjustable diopter, and it has some barrel distortion - but for the $$ it's dynamite. No issues with the non-adjustable-ness of it for me, it's pretty kickass and I can focus like a champ with it.

Redrock used to make a plate to stick the hoodman on a DSLR, not an amazing solution but it was like $30, might check there.

I bought one of these for my 60D. The little metal frame that came with mine is an exact fit, (screen even closes) so there must be various sizes and you might have to be lucky. I substituted spray adhesive for the glue provided. If you use reading glasses, you need to keep them on when using this. I was worried that the frame is magnetic and you're not supposed to use magnets near these cameras or SD cards, but haven't had any problems.
