Any thoughts on the Came-TV rig post above are greatly appreciated ^^^^
Thanks.
Hi Ekin, my fingers just rest on it. I think it would be a better grip if the rod wasn't there, but it's part of the support and it's not a major interference.
Hi AlexNOR, you can definitely take off this side rod and the camera is still completely locked in place (top shoe and bottom). When I first got the Skier, I took it all apart and build it back up, so I know it works without this rod. Now I'm thinking I might set it up like this, that's not a bad idea to have more grip on the side.
I've looked at everything and for the money think this version of the CAME Cage might be the best bet,http://www.ebay.com/itm/CAME-TV-Pro...94654408&tpos=unknow&ttype=price&talgo=origal Is anyone using one and if so how do you like it.
Can someone here tell me if Viewfactor Studios' Contineo Cage is shipping? Their blog & Facebook page haven't been updated since its initial release in July 2014. I emailed them, but haven't heard back.
I just don't want to place an order and find out it's going to take 2-4 weeks to deliver.
Couple shots of a compact handheld setup I'm testing.
Viewfactor Contineo cage, Wooden Camera NATO top handle, SmallRig 100mm NATO safety rail, and Beachtek MCC-2 audio adapter for Rode Videomic Pro and Sony wireless receiver.
That's a nice setup. How have you found operating the camera?
I like that Viewfactor's cage is tight to the body, so you can still easily handhold the camera. Wooden Camera's half-cage is more modular, but if you need a full cage that's form fit to the GH4, then this is the best I've used so far.
