AC90: Barry's book?

Hey, Rod, ease off on the violins. Now, let's get a few facts straight. Some of the Asiatic countries you had just mentioned have far more robust domestic economies than we we have got stuck with in the so-called West.

Frank, I don't play the violin but can bang out some Chet Atkins on a guitar!

It is clear you are not prepared to accept the Panasonic structure of supporting the service centres in the country of sale (not build origin). I too, initially wondered why it is this way. However, I now understand that arrangement and it has worked for me, but I know you will never concur.

So I have nothing constructive to add further and certainly don't want to promote this excellent forum into a kind of inquisition on Panasonic's marketing strategy.(and please change that bloody coloured font-it says "angry" even before it is read.!:)) I wish you well.
Cheers!
Rod

Rod, you need to talk with the webmeister here about your color problems, as they are clearly offering here various yellows, oranges, ambers, other colors as well. But to accommodate you, I did switch to another yellow from what I have been using until now -- hope you are liking this one.

Checked on the JVC USA web site for "authorized dealers." JVC is very similar in this to Panasonic. Well, guess what: same old, same old.

All I had wanted to do was to find a master list of ALL authorized JVC dealers, dealers and resellers that JVC claims are "authorized" instead of I suppose them being "unauthorized" or whatnot. There is no such list -- at least, I could find it.

The page took me to a location where I had to put in both MY CITY and MY STATE, once I did that, it showed me that there are no "authorized dealers" here. Okay, so I put in other cities I know in this state, plus a couple of other cities I know in an adjoining state to mine -- I've still got nothing.

In desperation I put in NEW YORK for the city and NEW YORK for the state -- ho and behold, they do indeed have these authorized types over there in the Big Apple.

Not sure how they would help me here, however, I guess in order to deal with an "authorized" dealer, you have to move over a few states from where you are or something.

Meanwhile, there seems to be a lot of unhappiness lately amongst Panasonic product purchasers -- heck, the company was only able to muster a pathetic 1.3-star rating out of a possible rating of 5.0-stars. Wow.... and not in a particularly good way, either.

Tell us, just how many times do you have to spam this website with this link?

Anyone who deals with Panasonic and their pro video grear knows that they have a totally separate division for Pro Video, with their own separate offices here in the USA, and their own separate customer service and support. If you need help with Panasonic Pro Video gear, you don't deal with the same phone lines or offices that Panasonic consumer customers use. Yet you keep posting this link repeatedly on this website, which is about Panasonic's consumer products, and is thus totally irrelevant to Panasonic Pro Video customers.

Besides, what does any of this have to do with helping people to get Barry's book? You are derailing this thread totally off of its original subject, which was originally about assisting people in getting Barry's book.

And I've seen a number of people on this website politely ask you to lose this big yellow font that you are using. Yet, how did you respond here in this thread? By changing to an even more offensive bigger and brighter yellow font!

Why are you going so far out of your way to be so rude? Using such a big bright font is the online world equivalent to literally screaming at someone in person. Are you so naive in online etiquette that you do not understand the hostility that conveys?

.

He's just a troll is all. He's gone out of his way to make a nuisance of himself in a few threads. I can't believe people keep responding to him. Don't feed the troll people :)
