You're welcome, and we're glad to have you hear. The thanks go to Jarred Land, the founder and creator and visionary behind dvxuser.com, he made it what it is! :)

Re: Barry video guide

holy ****!

$70 wow! I said that personally i would hope it would be under 100 but i figured it come back as 99 (which would be totally worth it) but u've again proven ur commitment to the community. I was beginning to worry when i'd be able to pick up one of these since im a full time student and only work a few hours a week to pay for school, but now i dont have to be anxious about wether i can afford what will surely be the most useful guide to getting the most outa my new very expensive camera.

THANX BARRY! U RULE! ;D

Re: Barry video guide

That depends on a couple of things. First I'm waiting for a collaborator to get back with any recommended changes to the book portion. Then it depends on actual manufacturing. If total orders are for like 50 copies, then I could print those myself and hand-burn the DVD's... but if orders are for something outrageously high (like 500) then I'd probably need to go into actual replication and print shops, and so the physical manufacturing process would add a couple weeks. The DVD is 99% ready, I'm just tweaking the menu so it looks more professional and fancy, and the book part is waiting confirmation from my co-authors.

Re: Barry video guide

Well Barry, I'd recommend you set something up for pre-orders so you can get a sense of how many units you are going to potentially move right off the bat.

Re: Barry video guide

I'm calling it right now. Demand for this thing is going to be HUGE right off the bat.

Re: Barry video guide

I was hoping The Great Pumpkin would bring me mine... my birthday is the day after Halloween. heh! I am between Halloween and the Day of the Dead....hmmm. Well, hoping for this dvd/book to be avail soon... the price is unbelievably affordable. Thanks Barry!

Re: Barry video guide

barry, i would ask that you consider at least laser printing it

maybe its just me but the handy pocket sized charts that came with the anamorphic guide got smudged pretty easy as i assume they were printed on a smearjet?

i made my own that are small but easier to read, on a laser printer, it is double sided and laminated.

so anyway, i for one would be willing to pay more to have it laser printed. the images would also come out a LOT better.

there is probably a print/copy shop in your area with a high quality laser printer that can do double sided.

Re: Barry video guide

The charts were done on a smearjet because my laser couldn't handle running that cardstock through it...

I'm getting quotes now from printers for getting the book properly printed and bound. If the quotes are outrageously high, then yes I'll be laser-printing them! Fear not... :)

(and a Halloween delivery is entirely possible, and hopefully probable!)

Re: Barry video guide

Barry,

I purchased your anamorphic guide and it is fantastic! :D

Can't wait for this new offering. Excellent job!
