Barry video guide

Re: Barry video guide

Mattheew, you are a bastard. I got about half way through your post and ran out to my mailbox to see if I had missed Barry's guide. On the pre-order site it said that orders will be filled by Oct. 31st, so I'm assuming they won't ship til late next week.

To recap: Matthew = bastard ;)

Re: Barry video guide

Re: Barry video guide

Just placed my order... I am sooo looking forward to this tool. I have had my DVX100 not 100a for a couple of weeks and really could use some help on settings etc. I know that experimentation is the best way but a little help would be great.

Would like some feedback on a couple of grabs that I posted in the grab section entitled "wedding grabs". These were from my first shoot and I would like some help on the settings used. Basically shot in f5 as the camera was when taken out of box, just rolled the iris down a little using LCD as a reference. Not really sure if it was anything other than presets as camera was used upon purchase.

Re: Barry video guide

I'm curious what you paid for it, and how many hours it had. I'd like to start looking for a second camera.

Re: Barry video guide

2400.00 and it had 60 hrs on it. Appears to be in excellent shape, and everything works as far as I can tell. Would have loved to have gotten the 100a, but didn't have the extra grand to put in at this time.

Re: Barry video guide

It's still a great camera. The main reason I went with the A was the squeeze mode, which I have yet to use.

Re: Barry video guide

I ordered mine yesterday, couldn't be more happier.
hope to use to the fullest in my next project.

thanxs Barry...
