Would you guys suggest getting DPAF for weddings and events? I figured I could maybe get by using One-Shot AF... I'm really considering getting one of these and picking up a 24-105mm ii with the extra cash.
The C100Mk2 is on sale. Read the second posting on page 1.
Also of note, the one-shot AF is way slower without the DPAF upgrade. Not that useful, I found.Would you guys suggest getting DPAF for weddings and events? It really depends on the person/work/goals...4K has been the standard for some and their clients for a few years now...but some can still shoot HD for the next 10 years and be happy/make money with their clients.
...the 18-135 STM IS is great, I have one as well as the 17-55 IS...
I've seen wedding videographers advertise 4k delivery, makes sense. Anyone who wants to drop $3k to $10k on a wedding video probably has the bucks to have a 4K capable TV although at this point, how do wedding videographers deliver 4k for playback to their clients? Just YouTube and Vimeo or how do they deliver it?

Hmm...I don't notice any additional noise from the Blade. I have done split screen edits to compare the AVCHD and the Blade footage and I see no difference between the two, other than AVCHD, you can "break" the codec easier. Same with green screen. I have a client who much prefers me delivering Prores HQ to them over AVCHD so the Blade the has been wonderful, a huge asset to my business.
Hmm I remember one shoot where I seemed to get more noise on the ninja in Canon log, maybe it was cause I was shooting at 3200 ISO. I'll try shooting to it again on your success
Are those two your main lenses for the C100? I'm planning on mostly interviews and docs with some walking around/tourist-y stuff thrown in, will they be a good fit?
Or, if you were to visit Disney, which lens would ou bring?
Go for it. FWIW, I don't shoot Log and never shoot over ISO 1600 if I can help it. I shot some night stuff in Morocco in the Spring with my 28mm 1.8 wide open, I may have had to go to ISO 2500 on some of it.
Can you recommend a good non log profile? I also used the18-135 and was expecting it to be terrible because it's not L. Great lens in reality.thx
Been shooting with the Abel Cine profiles, which I modified a bit for my taste. Mostly I have been shooting WDR lately, it's very flexible for the kind of work I do, which sometimes gets graded and other times not, it goes straight to broadcast or the web without much color correction. Shot this piece with the actress Holly Robinson Peete with three C100s a few weeks ago using WDR. It had just a touch of CC, and looked decent. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_wAw9a9CYkM
