B&H Customers

I got them...Volumes 1 & 2!!! I think I spent 15 bucks on something once and I keep getting these monoliths.

Just got the catalog... it's in a box.... a catalog in a box... I'm still trying to process this fact.

When the catalog comes in its own box, there is a problem.

Ooooh yeah!....Look at that long lens...that silky smooth rack...focus. Give me more! More depth of field, MORE!!!

I used to order from B&H, until I found Spec-Comm. Now I just toss the catalog in a corner in case I need a part number or something...

I love that book. Get one whenever they come out.

I got one. That this is the equivelant to me getting the Toys-R-Us catalog a month before christmas when I was a kid. That is great bathroom material.

I thought I was the only one that felt this way.

You can tell who the kiddies are, we had to look forward to Montgomery Wards and Sears when I was a kid.

Yeah, they lost me as a customer. I was in the market for a $1,800 lens for my Nikon D300. They didn't have it in stock, but said they'd put me on a list, and I'm the first on it, and I'll get an email as soon as they get them in. Weeks pass, nothing happens. One day I'm browsing their site, and what do I see... the lens showing as "in stock"! I immediately tried to order, but at that moment, it went out of stock - so I call, and they tell me that they got only a few and it just sold out again - so I ask them why they didn't send me an email notification as they promised they would... they had no good explanation. At that point I said "**** it", and got the lens somewhere else - and I've made a point to never ever buy anything from these scumbags again. Plus I'll give them bad PR every chance I get - I spend quite a bit on photo/video equipment, and much more importantly, many friends turn to me for advice on such matters... I always steer them clear of B&H; I know for a fact that they lost at least 20-25K in business to competitors I specified... I understand that they don't need my petty business, but hey, it's the principle, and the only weapon we consumers have - vote with our wallets; if they piss off enough people one day it'll catch up to them.

I came home yesterday, my back door was obstructed by large cardboard package, obviously too big for the postman to put in the mailbox.

Really, B&H? Really?

Now, to separate the sort of old guys from the geezers... who remembers S&H GreenStamps gift catalogs?

LMAO!!! GREENSTAMPS!! my grandmom used to get those at giant and when she had enough we would go to our local greenstamp store and buy things. I still remember what that store looked like. I was about 5 or 6 but I remember.
