Do they really really like me, or has everyone gotten a 2-volume 3 inch thick weighs ton video catalog thing in the mail?

Are they crazy? Yeah, pre-sorted, yeah, bulk rate 4th class mail... Still must have cost a bundle to produce and send out.
 
Pretty sure its a waste of paper and money like jeff said...I always just check their website. I told them not to send it to me anymore.
 
I've got several of them over the years - photography ones, video ones, audio...

Nice bathroom reading material. :)
 
Yeah, I have a few of them. Always interesting to flip though.

Then I remember they close for nearly every holiday known to man and everytime you need to track an order to find out where it is...their tracking service is undergoing maintenance. And their customer support department barely speaks english and is absolutely no help what-so-ever.

I don't like B&H much, yet I still order from them...

I think that magazine keeps me coming back.

I've never bought anything from them because they were rather rude to me and my $!0,000, so we went elsewhere. But I still get catalogs from them. I don't even bother to open them though, I just toss them. The point of a catalog is to advertise your product and it's price. With B&H, they just show you the same pictures everyone else has, but no price. If I wanted to just look at pictures, I could surf the Net.
 
I got one. That this is the equivelant to me getting the Toys-R-Us catalog a month before christmas when I was a kid. That is great bathroom material. My wife thought I ordered something from them and started freaking out. I wish they could have fit a HPX-170 up in there.
 
My purchasing dept. finds them helpful when I ask for stuff. We run a lot of stuff through B&H and they are on state contract. I've never found them to be rude. Always helpful, and have stuff in stock when I need it.

I'm sure there are other great stores out there, but B&H = no hassles for me.

Incidentally, I tried to deal with another firm for my lighting needs back in June. They wanted me to submit a credit application. I told them I was submitting a purchase order from the Florida Supreme Court. They said I'd still need to do a credit application. I said, as a matter of fact I don't. Have a nice day.

How do companies like that remain in business?
