Thanks Jan, but I'm on a mac. Another reason to duel boot with Windows. I wish I could write software since I would assume many people with AVCHD files would love to preview clips without opening up a NLE program. The file structure is kind of deep so using VLC is kind of a pain to go through. Canon and Nikon have simple programs for viewing RAW and jpg I would love that for mac and AVCHD
Thanks. That works but kind of a pain to ues.
I just use final cut's log and transfer to view them...only problem is that you can't scale the clip up.
You can view & scale up in iMovie, but can't scrub through clip (play only).
Interesting.HD VU is not out yet though it is included with the new version of Shot Put Pro which is near final release. I have a pre-release version of Shot Put for evaluation. HD VU will view virtually anytype of file based media. AVCHD, P2 AVC Intra among others.
Its not Clear to me at this time if HD VU will be available as a stand alone purchase.
Thanks. That works but kind of a pain to ues.
Does Panasonic have a AVCHD clip preview player? I goggled it but didnt find what I was looking for. I did try MPEG Stream clip and that works however navigating the file structure on the card is a pain. It sure would be great if Panasonic made a clip preview program.
I use the AVCCAMVIEWER from Panasonic. You can download it from here: https://eww.pavc.panasonic.co.jp/pro-av/support/desk/e/avc_download.htm#avccam
