Hey guys, I recorded some audio with a rode NTG-2 I got recently, and it sounds bad... I mean really bad. I know there's a TON of things I did that was causing bad audio, but I want to know exactly what it is that's making it THIS bad, because most of the problems are fixable by spending money and i only have enough to fix one thing.
I'm really hoping someone will give this audiotrack a listen and see what they think the issue is.
Here's the problems, as far as I know:
NTG-2 was mounted on my canon 7d and plugged directly into the 7d. Which means autogain, and that the mic was far away from the subject. Furthermore, any noises caused by the camera would have been caught by the mic. Also, it might have been a shitty cable. it was a 6-inch XLR to mini-male cable.
The whole thing was shot in an enclosed apartment so there's no problem with wind or anything. I do know that the fridge is on, but i have listened to it enough i can isolate the fridge hum, and there's tons of static besides it.
Thanks for the help.
