Anybody want to road test my new site?

This is already looking a lot better, good work. I think under portfolio your main text still competes with your header titles. I would try shrinking the text a little.

And throw some video up there. Even if you haven't done a lot of stuff, you could take your camera, take a page out of Disjecta's book and shoot a lot of beautiful landscape and nature shots. And throw some stills of work on the portfolio section, keep it visual so the text doesn't overwhelm the section. It's getting there.

EDIT: The home button seems a little awkward at the bottom. I would put home first at the top of your navbar.

Isaac- Shrink the paragraph, or increase the header? People have complained the text is too small. As far as the video, if I don't have it working well, there isn't any sense in putting it up- good or bad. My camera should get out of the shop in a couple weeks, and I'll go through all my stuff, and cut some better clips then. In the mean time, I'm hoping to get the flash to run smoother, smaller size, and preloaders. I'm still also working on how to display them. I'm not thrilled with just throwing them on a page.

I think I just like my text smaller. It's personal taste. One thing you should try is changing your screen resolution to see how the site looks on different monitors. I just like websites that are smaller, simple, and clean.

My biggest issue with CSS, is a lot of sites use it, and a lot of them can't be read because the text blocks overlap things. MSN is really bad about that. But, I'm looking around, hoping to find the right tutorial that will make it all click.

Well, they're using CSS for something it shouldn't be used for. They're really trying to make it structure a page and it just doesn't work. CSS should really be used for text formatting and maybe rollover things, but that's about it. If you want something to be very specifically structured, then it isn't the right way to go - but that's just my opinion.

And why make a page so complicated anyway? I mean, it's just a webpage... :D When the internet was developed, it was designed to be a means of presenting text-based information. If you want something entertaining, so watch a movie...

That's true... greedy bastids...

What I love is when I go to a page and half the freaking text can't be read. You can copy and paste it into a text editor and that works... but for some reason you can't see it on the page. Even highlighting the text doesn't allow you to see what it says. I don't know why that happens, but I'm sure it's bad css.
