Apropos - A Hawk Teflon short

Heh, no, Ladd ... or Edwards, depending on who you ask.

He's actually going to be on set with us tonight, and he's bring a few toys! Good times!

So I ordered a 35mm lens for this shoot. It just arrived in the mail. The shoot is in 3 hours. Talk about good timing!

... I hope you shoot with his AF100...and I hope he brings his ZazaSlider too! ;-)
Break a leg.

Quick update:

The bad: Just got a call. Apparently the lead male came down with something ... We're less than 3 hours from shooting. Ahhh, indie filmmaking!

The good: Marlon was already planning on being there tonight. Now it looks like he'll be taking that role over! Awesome!

The ugly: Nothing yet... but I still have 2+ hours before we start.

@Zaza, you know it!

Wow - way to go with the flow - lemonade out of lemons!

Good work...and now Marlon (who should be finishing HIS film.....) steps up to the plate? I'm thinking "Homerun"!
Looking forward to the 6 minute version.

...just don't cut any cool sliding shots. ;-)

Yeah, I hope I can get it down.

Zaza, I have bad news... We couldn't fit a slider on the location. We struggled to get the boom in there.

I'm hoping to be able to get some grabs up in the next day or so.

I gotta say, I really am liking the shots with the AF100 (some shots weren't possible with it). They look really nice straight out of the camera. My only complaint about it, though (after working with DSLRs), is that in order to change your ISO, you need to have that on a preset, and to change your aperture (on the go), you need a lens that has a aperture ring. There's also not as many shutter settings, but that didn't bother me. I guess it's just the whole menu system on the camera. It's not very user friendly at all.

Guuueeeeesssss who got their short down to 5:58:07?!

MEEEE!!!

I'm always leery about posting grabs, because I try to find something that doesn't give anything away, you know?

Finishing my film?? What film? LOL!! Nah, I'm on it. Just had to step up and help my boy out. We all know the tragedies that happen in indie film. I just hope I was able to do Hawk justice. Anyway, we had a blast and I can't wait for you guys to see it!

Congrats on the new edit! I totally understand about the grabs. A short is so short you want to be able to hold on to whatever secrets you can. I hope you can find something though.

That's really cool that you were able to help him out and step in and do the part. I can't wait to see it.

Can't wait to see both of these films...I'm SURE you did it justice. You guys make a great team, I'm just glad you're all safe after the storms that have been coming through your state this year.

Yeah... there seems to be a new trend of waiting until the very last minute to start a thread, add a poster and blog about the day-to-day making of the film. :lipsrseal
I guess the days of Rodney posting his intent seconds after the announcment of a new fest are history...
