Anyone have kids?

i don't own a laptop, or a playstation...but one of these days i'll upload a video of my daughter kicking me square in the batch. it has happened.

lol yea. His expression was so funny. Looking back, I am amazed at how quickly he was connecting with the surroundings. He's 8.5 months now and starting to walk and his favorite thing to do is being a porch monkey. He will literally sit on the door step for an hour just looking at cars passing by. The bigger the car, the louder he says his "ooooooh". Love him to death.

I have two children (really 3)
The first two are grown and I'm quite proud. One is an executive with a Defense Contractor and one is in Management for an insurance company.

Both are married and I have two Grandchildren.

The third is only two and at least won't grow up and move away.

Hey Richard.

I have a 2 year old son and hes a monster!!!!! I'm telling you man one kid is enough, god knows how you cope with two!!!!!

He gets into everything, throws things at people, he poured a coke over his mums head the other night (lol) and never listens to me or his mummy.

I'm 25, I say if you plan having kids wait til you're about 30 odd!!!!

But I love him very much!!

The phrase "game changer" gets thrown around alot lately. Having a kid is the biggest game changer in my life.

Example: When I used to go to the beach I might have gone boogie boarding, put a few beers in my cooler, take a nap. Not anymore. Now I'm spending every second making sure my little guy is safe. (18 months) I'm running around the beach like a crazy man chasing him. But it's worth it.

@ Drunk on the Moon: No regrets waiting till 37!

Two daughters, the oldest is now 18 and was born when we were 33, the youngest is 8 and was born when we were 43.

You spend the first year getting them to stand up and talk, the next 17 getting them to sit down and shut up.

In all honesty, they are terrific kids with lots of friends and their teachers love them.

However, daughters are Gods punishment on you for being a man; you're always afraid that they'll meet someone like you were at that age.

Man I am so scared of the teenage years.

i only have girls, so i'm also worried about when they become teenagers. when a boy comes over for the first time, my plan is to hide in the bushes wearing camouflage and holding a fake machine gun. when he knocks on the door i'll emerge from behind like an overweight rambo.

I won't be like my parents, who are selfish self centered morons.

My son will forever be welcome at/in my home whatever age he is and I would lend him my last dollar if he really needed it.

I will encourage him to express and follow his interests.

I'm hoping he won't grow up with the anger and alienation I felt as a teen living with my oppressive parents!

I have been very lucky to have amazing parents. But I find myself doing the same things as they did. It's really bizzare.

And I'm with you. My home and wallet will always be open to my children if they need it. But of course I am going to try to bring them up so they will want to be out on there own as I'm sure you are.

I love my folks but I will be damned if I will move back in there, even though I could. I would sleep in a van down by the river before I would let that happen.:Drogar-Shock(DBG):

Based on how i've seen my friends parents treat them during the teenage years, the

parents that practiced respect, received respect from their kids. Make them feel safe

talking to you and they have a foundation to respect and not totally rebel against you.

The things that scare me the most are Driving and Boys. I can handle everything else. My folks scared me to death when talking about a drugs and jail and I have NEVER done drugs or been to jail and I plan on doing the same thing to my kids. Hell, I never even drank until after college. I was way into sports, and girl-"chasing".
