Does the af100 have "att" attenuate?

The Panasonic AG-MC200G (Sensitivity: -40dB, S/N: 68dB) mic works with the HVX200 which has a mic gain of -50 dB or -60 dB the same as the AF100. So what gives? I can not believe Panasonic would down grade the audio on the AF100 from the HVX 200. Has any one tested a high sensitivity (-25 dB to -40 dB) mic on the AF 100 and found a problem?
Especially message #13 in this thread. She also suggests using a Shure attenuator if absolutely necessary (so I doubt the camera has "att"), but in another thread she says an attenuator is not an ideal solution. She even contacted Panasonic to get the -40db mic delisted from the brochure because it didn't match the AF's -50db specs. Has anyone seen the manual where it says the AF100's sensitivity is -50db? I'm just hoping Jan made a mistake, because I can't find any professional shotgun mics this insensitive.
So, not seeing -50 or anything similar on the sennheiser site, can I take it that my trusty 416 I've been using on my HVX's is too hot too?
Is the AF100 just a different sound spec to the HVX?
Can someone link to a page that sell pads?
Whirlwind sells 10-20-30db inline pads. Shure sells a 15-20-25 switcheable pad. I believe Audio Technica also sells switchable pads. If you work with a location recordists on shoots, chances are he or she has them available.
Any decent music production retailer will have them; from good mom & pop shops, to boutique recording stores, to giant corporations like Guitar Center.

It would be great to one day have built in pads in new cameras, especially since this is a known issue with all camera brands. Shooting a live event with a stereo mic and using two heavy pads it not so convenient. A switch on the camera would be golden IMO!...Not many video cameras can handle this level and most certainly not the AF100.
