Another snowboarding video

Cool video man. Those snowboarders need new belts. I thought I was watching a street basketball game there for a second.
 
That footage looked really good. Very sharp, and great exposure...

Agreed, some of those wipeouts had to hurt
 
i use 1/120, or 1/250 for skateboarding. You could probably get away with 1/120 since theres not as much motion (i.e, the board flipping and rotating on a skateboard)

1/120 should be fine. This was 24p right? If not, 24p looks nice with sports :)
 
The 110 is a great camera, but I know alot of people who have had HUGE problems with editing the JVC HD codec.

True, but for the stuff I shoot the 8gig card wouldn't really work for me. I need the ability to tape lots of people in order to get that one shot I need of someone doing a trick correctly. :)
 
Nice vid....LOVED the sharpness.

Can you tell how you got it so sharp....did you do anything special in compressor?.....or is that just an advantage of having your own site/server/QT/flash et al. (as opposed to some of us broke folk who use the crappy & overcompressed, but free, Youtube).

Also....what did you shoot it with?
DVX-100 (of course.....in the DVX only thread)
24pa (or 60i)?

Any particular settings.....as I too would like to achieve such wonderful CRISPNESS one day

Oh rail rats... I was hoping for a nice 30 foot booter when I clicked on this. Nevertheless still good stuff!

Hey Grenade I just double checked and its actually a 16 gig. So if you have a laptop, that might be verry dooable.
