I agree, what is faked here? You can clearly see them using the C300 with grabs that even show the shots taken in this video.
hmmm....I see this a lot on my 7D with any non-stabilized lens. Not that extreme really on actual shots, but when taking the camera out of position, if it still records. But to a lesser extent it happens a lot handheld on any lens longer than 20mm and that is what he shows here.Look to the part from 1:35 to 1:45 - on the left side "image from HD SLR" ... what is that?? I shoot more than 2 years with 5D Mark II and never have this crap...
well, not really the point of the shot. What he shows is the slow CMOS of the SLR. And probably used the same lens, only the C300 has internal NDs, therefore better exposure. Point for the C300.next part from 1:46 to 1:57 - why HD SLR part on bottom overexposed, taken without HD filter and without lens with IS ??
24-105 is a very good documentary lens, that´s what he talks about. But I am happy to hear of a better one with that range. It is probably not the lens I´d use in a narrative setting, but out in the real-world of documentary, where you have no time or even room to switch primes, it is great. And because it is relatively slow it needs higher ISOs. He didn´t say the 24-105 is THE lens as such, but for documentary. And IMO that is a good argument for the C300 vs. DSLRs.On 5:13 - silly argument about horrible 24-105 F4 lens as "perfect" for this camera... .... I cannot imagine cinematographer, who gonna invest 15K into C-300 and use 24-105 F4 crap with this camera![]()
hmmm.... And IMO that is a good argument for the C300 vs. DSLRs.
Me too. I only hope the price falls a bit further. Hey Canon! $12-13,000 would be a real treat!
