Alzo 300 LED light

Now that these lights have been out for a while, can anyone who has replaced the fan comment on whether they have noticed any color shift over time (or other issues)?

Does anyone has experience with the new version of the Alzo 3200 with new low noise fans? I know it looks odd but I am looking to using it with a bowens speed ring and large octobox or softbox. Its supposed to be better colour than the older 3200 which I own. Colour is just ok on the older model but I want to know if the new one is much better being 10CRI higher in quality. I love using Med/large daylight softboxes but am tired of tungsten heat and can't afford HMI or plasma.

On the Alzo Video website there's a video with a decent demonstration of the audio difference. The still images also clearly show why it has that funky design -- lots of surface area for two low speed fans instead of one high speed.

Watched the video. I rather like the new design. Sort of a weird box with light like Hive plasma. I was trying to judge skin tone on the Alzo video but it was hard. The new 3200 is a higher CRI 94 vs 85 of the previous version which I have to gel with 1/8 minus green.

If the colour is decent it would be a great cheap option for medium/large octoboxes for those of us who can't afford a joker 400 or Hive Bee (or should I say clients aren't willing to up the lighting budgets)

Wow. That low noise model is so funky. Kinda cool. I need a powerful light, but I'm not totally sold yet.

FrameFarmMedia, what octoboxes are you using?

I did come across this light, which just sold: http://ebay.to/1Rdcb5f Looks like it's similar in price & output and is a fresnel. There is a 200W available as well, though I don't know the price: http://bit.ly/1Pvz3P4

I have two 3300 units and they are honestly awesome. Color is for sure a little green but with minus green, retouch, and a softbox these things look sweet. Great setup for simple interviews with a ton of soft light.

I usually lean on Kino if it's going to another editor, but for my stuff these work great. For the price you can easily buy more than one... AND they compete with daylight while running off a battery.

How are you running the 3300 off a battery?? This would be interesting to me... what is your set-up?

I actually use their suggested solution. Two UPC battery backups... can't remember the exact make/model/wattage but I got high powered ones and they run a single 3300 for just shy of three hours. I put it in a backpack and sometimes walk with the light for tracking shots in music videos.

They take regular outlets so I also sometimes run my fresnel off them too. Not the best solution in the world, because the recharge time is long, but pretty versatile and inexpensive.

I saw this link for a light that looks like the Alzo 3200: http://ebay.to/1ZQoSJs

I asked how it was different. Here is the response I got:
