AC160 AG-AC160 Review

Thanks digital gecko! You got me just before I made a mistake. This is why I like this forum. My research into the Vinten has made me re-consider the Manfrotto and Sachtler.

I will say I am blown away at the raw image I am getting out of my AC-130. I have not had the pleasure of using an EX1 but I will just throw out that I am really into color grading my material and had some concerns as to how well the AVCHD would hold on the SDHC cards. I put those concerns to rest now after a handful of projects that give me goosebumps every time I get to start grading. Here is a sample of what I achieved my first day with a manual scene file setting I made and graded with Magic Bullets.

I don't get that people would spend so much on these cams that are more pro than consumer and then attempt to use autofocus all the time. Many truly PRO cams don't even have autofocus. Asking a camera to know exactly what you want in focus during a wedding is just silly. And lazy. I pay a lot of my bills shooting weddings, and my clients aren't expecting me to have a Handycam Hobbyist attitude when it comes to something so important.

I've been using the 160 and generally happy with it, it seems sharper than the 150. I notice that you lose alot of exposure when you zoom all the way in on the telephoto.
