AC160 AG-AC160 Footage Requests

It was pretty cloudy/overcast, for sure. But here are the settings I was using, as requested by another User…

Cine-D
Chroma: -3
Matrix: Norm2
Master Pedestal: -2
Detail -4

Based on what I saw from the raw footage, you'd have absolutely no problem color-correcting AVCCAM to get the amount of saturation you wanted, at least within reason.

OK, everything is clear now.
At first I was thinking that there is something wrong with cam because I expected sharper and more saturated image.
Thank you for your time.

Sorry about that. I've been getting my HPX250 (last week) and my AC160 (this week) mixed up. It's easy to do when they look exactly alike, aside from the P2/SD slots. :D

I've edited my post above. And now, I'm going to stop shooting test and actually go shoot something.

Something i am dying to know about these cameras: Jan mentioned at NAB that the lenses on them are MECHANICALLY ENGAGED. If so, to what extent? For instance the Sony models (NXCAM) in this price range, their focus and iris rings are merely electronic "switches" that spin forever. What about these new Panny cameras? Anyone know?

Thanks

The zoom is mechanical, but the focus and iris are electronic rings. It comes down to economy. Larger motors are required to drive the focus and iris when there is also a mechanical system in place. In the case of the zoom mechanism, it requires a more powerful motor anyway because several elements need to be moved, so adding the mechanical lever is viable.
