Ah I see. Nope, no luck here.

Tim is still plugging away at the sound and score.

CC is done. Now, I am playing with instant HD to resize (crop) and stretch the footage so that it will be true 16:9 (for web and DVD).

So far so good with Instant HD. The workflow in FCP is a little strange, but it works. I am not actually uprezing to HD, just turning 4:3 SD into 16:9 SD (anamorphic). The idea is that instead of just cropping and stretching the 4:3 footy, Instant HD will crop, stretch, and then add the correct amount of extra pixels. The footage is then comparable to something shot with an anamorphic adapter (in theory anyway). Rendering with the Instant HD "filter" on takes a loooooong time.

To think we knew each other before there was even a dvxuser? Wow, it has been a number of years now and it has been a joy to watch the both of you develop and excel as filmmakers. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be a part of After Class. I know the time commitment this took to put together and all of the setbacks involved but I am sure that all of your tireless hard work will translate to the screen.

I am also impressed (as always) with the subject matter you choose. As artists the both of you tackle subject matter that many people are afraid to touch. Your work to me is always compelling and with each thing you do, you raise the bar. I can’t wait to see what you come up with next.

I am honored to call the two of you friends and have nothing but gratitude for you giving me a shot at being part of the story.

Best of luck with the competition!

Tim and I owe you a huge thanks for always putting such effort and enthusiasm into our projects. It is always a pleasure to work with you. Your acting seriously amazes me. I remember tearing up and having the hair on the back of my neck stand up when we shot the crying scene for Cache. The truly exciting thing is that your acting shines... and not within the films of acclaimed editors or experienced directors but in films shot by novice and budding filmmakers. That says a great deal to me about the level you are at as an actor.

In short, you rule... and thanks.
