Just got my shipping notice from Adorama. It says "shipping on 09-29-2009 Via Ups 2nd Day Air."

SWEET!!!!!!!

Now I have to go and cancel my Amazon pre-order.

Are their warehouses in NYC?

If so then maybe they also arrive to Washington DC to day and then I should be getting mine on 6th (UPS ground).

Man, I bet they are working hard trying to get all of these orders out. i wonder how long it takes them to go through hundreds of them

I was lied to by adorama so i just called and cancelled my order. i was told I was in the first preorder batch so I was told it may be another 3 weeks for the next batch.

I ordered mine around 9PM on the 1st. Hopefully I'll get that email soon! I have to wait until my brother comes to visit regardless though, so I should get it sometime next week.

I ordered around 11PM on the 3rd so I guess I won't get an email today. I don't want to call and bother them though, I want them working to ship those orders instead of talking to dozens of people calling with questions. :)

a week or so ago. decided to go with best buy to assure a mid month delivery. I have a big shoot coming up.

Hey, for everyone who's looking to cancel an Amazon.com pre-order, here's what Amazon is saying: "We are preparing these items for shipment and this portion of your order cannot be canceled or changed."

I wonder if the kit is shipping too from Adorama, if it is with the next 3 week delivery then I might have to cancel

this is what is sort of pissing me off about people who put in preorders everywhere, they are keeping them out of other people's hands while not intending to keep them.

It would be funny if they were forced to pay for several of them and then the market becomes so flooded that they can't get rid of them :)

Nah, they (which includes me) can still get MSRP and break even by selling locally. Then everyone benefits.
