AdFest 2007

i would love to get involved in one of these fests, but alas, need to find montrealers eager and wanting...

  • All commercial spots must be no longer than 30 seconds. The following format must be followed. 3 seconds of white on black title, fade down to 2 seconds of black, 30 second spot, fade to 2 seconds of black, 8 seconds of credits (which must clearly acknowledge dvxuser.com).

Question here. So, 30 seconds total? Or 30 seconds plus the 3 seconds of white on black, 2 seconds of black, 2 more seconds of black, and 8 seconds of credits?

I'm sorry if I missed it, but did someone post the pronounciation of Kinetica when I wasn't looking? Is it important to the spot?

"Ken-" (like Barbie and Ken) "-net-" (sharing the 'n' with 'Ken') "-tick-" (sharing the 't' with 'net') "-kuh" (sharing the 'k' with 'tick')

Ken-eh-tick-uh

And the stress is on WHAT syllable?

Larry, do you know when the "inferior" .ai versions will be up for downloading?

Thanks a gazillion.

Mispronunciation of Kinetica will not disqualify an entry from receiving the non-cash prizes, but will eliminate the member from receiving the big money. That is why the non-standard pronunciation of Kinetica was chosen.

That should settle that.

Too cool. Naturally, my 14-year old inner child took over and I made her say a bunch of nasty phrases. Kind of sexy in a strange Philip K. Dick sort of way.

Also, try pasting in some of the 'longest words in the English language' from Wikipedia. Unfortunately, the system choked on this one:
