The 1080p RS numbers might save this cam for me. As shown by the night footage above, the images are very nice. Just beware of shooting in 4k24 as the world bends!

Not if the actual 1080p image is meh. AF aside, there are probably better 1080p cameras out there for less money. The 1080p RS numbers might save this cam for me. As shown by the night footage above, the images are very nice. Just beware of shooting in 4k24 as the world bends!
I don't think so. It will be very popular among enthusiast photographers. The form factor can't be beat and features are excellent. I've yet to see a camera that sits better in the hand than my Nex-6 and this one has a similar grip.JoeThePro said:One can only hope for some firmware update to help the overheating and RS numbers. I think Sonys sales have been hurt because of these initial reports. Its why I havent made the purchase yet.

Which ones with an APS-C sensor, can adapt with Canon lenses and have 4k as an option? The 1080p tests with higher detail settings showed the image can be improved.

Man does anyone know of anyplace that has these in stock?
I may be able to live with rolling shutter if the overheating is under control. This thread has mainly highlighted the RS; now that people have worked with the a6300 for a few days, does anyone have first-hand experience with overheating? Is a firmware update to fix this on Sony's radar?
For you personally, or are you basing this off of what youve read? Because Ive read of alot of people complaining about overheating in both 4k AND 1080p.I think over heating will be better tested in the spring/summer months. Seems to be doing fine in cool conditions.
I've had great luck with Texas Media Systems, got the A7rII and A7s the day they were released. They're a sponsor and a great group to work with, when I buy new, I buy everything I can from them. Hit them up - they always tell you when the next shipment is coming and if there are units available. They're not some giant faceless corporation like Amazon or B&H, you can call and chat with Clint or Terry anytime.

Uhm, I said I'd never seen so many videos as with A6300 immediately upon its release. That would include GH4 -- upon its release. The implication being that A6300 is an extremely popular camera.I have never ever had an overheating problem with the GH4 and I exclusively shoot outdoors with the GH4 for the past 2 years in the deep south.
