$65 Loupe on T2i it rocks!

Cieloent,

I would give it a try, I just measured the frame and it does appear to cover just about 1mm of the actual LCD display on each side, it does cover up the black frame around the LCD but as far as covering up the LCD screen it is negligible in my opinion but then again everyone has an opinion

just got my Z finder Junior and i'm luving it. its pricey...and MAYBE i'd have gone for this cheeper model but i do really like this VF. apart from the RETARDED mounting bracket, which i dont use anymore (i use the stick on frame now), its prety good.

Sorry to revive a dead thread but I got my Ebay viewfinder today. Sticks on really well with teh magnet, excellent mounting choice like the LCDVF. Dissapointment though as I wear reading glasses of 2X and it was too blurry that close up. Went to the dollar store and bought the largest 2.5X (for when my eyes get worse) glasses I could and popped out the lens and laid it on top of the wiewfinder and traced where the glass shoud fit with a sharpie. I then ground down the excess glass to that point and was able to fit that in the rubber eyepiece. Works fine for me now but i wanted to warn people who wear readers.

Just got my ebay viewfinder as well (probably part of the same shipment!)..i'm digging it. I've got a t2i so I snipped the frame in the middle, spaced it out slightly, and made sure to not cover the proximity sensor. Fits great, really solid connection. Magnification is good, silver piece around the eye cup is that cheapy plastic "chrome", but I feel as though I've gotten a good deal!

Just wanted to say a couple of words about this. I bought this VF and it works great. I mounted it on my 7D and its a bit off but it views fine. Focus is good. The magnetic mount is great just like the LCDVF. Actually, I applied the adhesive backing to the LCD and I placed a heavy book and let it sit for 24 hours. It works great. It may not snap as well as LCDVF but it holds well and I saved about $90 extra.

This is not a scam...his name is Eric and he is having problems with E-bay at the moment something about he isn't getting his money from them...so I paid he directly through pay-pal. Got here in a week, and I check it out and it works...Gees, it only $69 plus shipping of $20, its coming from china that's why through DHL. that's typical charge from China. I've bought the Lilliput 7" monitor, that was the same shipping charge and also some articular arms that came from China.

I can verify he's good. He has a website but he doesn't have Loope up yet. Check it out if you feel suspicious.

When I get a chance, I will post some pics.

RockRoad2929 When was the last time you heard from Eric, I emailed him earlier this week looking for an update as I want to order another one for myself along with a few extra mounting frames and haven't heard back.

Dude! That BETTERY GIRP looks sick!! I love it. Zacuto may be expensive, but they use the extra money for web dev and spell check.

Don't take this wrong way, but the website doesn't really do anything to suppress my suspicions.

If you're still suspicious at this point then that's just paranoia. If that's the case, buy NOTHING off of eBay and and continue to get sucked dry by your local camera shop instead...that just means more cheap Chinese products for me!!

I finally got my Loupe yesterday from a Us Seller ( New Jersey ) for $99 and I must say it looks and feels pretty cheap. I have no other loupe to compare it too, but I do not feel this is worth $100.

$100 is a lot of money for some cheap no name, no brand loupe that doesn't even come in any kind of original packaging. THis loupe should be no more than $50 if that, it just screams cheap to me.

I think paying the $40-$50 more for an LCDVF 3.2 would have been worth it, as we know it would hold it's value. I doubt I can even get $50 for this cheap imitation loupe I just bought
:thumbdown

What's weird is I felt the same way, that is until I started using it for a full day's shoot and I totally forgot about it's build quality. It gets the job done and didn't cause any trouble, so I think it is worth the $70 I paid for it. I probably wouldn't pay $100 for it from the US seller, but instead like you would likely get the LCDVF. Of course, at the time I needed it, it wasn't available so had to buy what was available. No regrets with my capa loupe purchase.

I'm not the OP, but here is how the frame fits on the T2i.

the t2i lcd is wider than the 7D's right? does it fit the 7D better?

I have tried countless times to contact the seller and nothing, this is a horrible cheap product. I advise any and everyone not to buy.

They don't even sell more frames, so how in the world can you use this if one of your frames messes up? LCDVF ships two frames and provides excellent support, I suggest everyone to go with that

I went with the LCDVF 3/2 from Glidetrack for $144 shipped in about 4 days from Scotland to the US. Very impressed so far. Well worth the piece of mind for me.

All these viewfinders have cheap materials. It's essentially molded plastic with a diopter... ANY of these viewfinders can't cost but $5 in materials. So this one decided to take the tacky rout of cheap gold plating for the lens holder, big deal...it will most likely still never break. I am NOT going to pay more than $100 for a cheap plastic piece no matter who slaps their label on it.

The only caveat is that it doesn't have an adjustable diopter, but neither does the LCDVF.

+1

While you do get what you pay form, sometimes in the video and film world a lot of accessories are way over priced for what you get.

Here's the thing though, If I owned the LCDVF and wanted to sell it, that little name on the viewfinder which you think means nothing has a value.

I doubt anyone would give me $50 for this no name viewfinder, but I could easily sell an LCDVF for $100 or for sure a Zacuto. Name brands while costing more are sometimes a good thing because the have value and if you ever need to sell you can get money back. Buy cheap no name brand things and you will be lucky if you can sell it for anything.

Trying to recoup money put into these viewfinders is my last priority, I simply want a low cost option to help me focus. To pay more for something just so I can sell it for more doesn't make me come out ahead in the end...think about it.

LCD viewfinder 2.8x for $69 and free shipping. It looks similar to the old LCDVF.

Damn. :(
