$65 Loupe on T2i it rocks!

OK, I just did my first official gig using this viewfinder. Shooting some BTS at a fashion photo shoot. I like it. Makes my life a whole lot easier. The magnet makes for a snug fit. I don't think it came disconnected once unless I needed to take it off.

Downside: The interior is lined with felt. A lot of the minuscule black particles came off on my LCD monitor. This thing seems to be cheaply constructed like George Costanza's knockoff Russian hat. I'm sure this will subside as I use it more.

Aside from that, the rubber eyecup slips around a bit and needs to be reseated from time to time. I might secure it with some gaffer's tape or something.

A few minor things to contend with. However, being able to focus, especially outdoors, makes this worth it.

There are pics already on the first page. What are you hoping to see that you haven't seen already?

You must be a time traveler from the past/future. As I can clearly see there are pics on the first page, BUT many angles that would show it completely are not there....

Broke down and bought one for $100...I'm too impatient

I can buy this right now for $100 or pay $134 for the new LCDVF 3:2. Would like some real SOLID impressions if this is worth it at $100 or should I just buy the LCDVF 3:2?

Thanks

What does this mean?

What does this mean?

How would one know if there eyes can work with this range?
No diopter correction (still usable from +1 to -4)

Any details would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Paid for the LCDVF 3/2 tues, shipped yesterday from Scotland, arrived today. Haven't taken it out yet, but just from playing around the house, I really like it. No problems viewing the screen, the magnet went on nice and easy. I'd do it again in a heartbeat..

How strong is it connected to the screen? If you push against it slightly hard with your eye and move your head to the side will it move? lol

I just placed an order for the lcdvf 3:2 from the glidetrack. It said on the website that the first batch it sold out. :/ but that they should have some more soon! Not I wait patiently...

Thats what I thought at first as well, but now that I have the LCDVF 3:2 I can say it is a bit bigger then I expected, and alot thicker plastic on the sides, really well build. The magnets are strong enough, it holds it really firm in place!

Like math said, it's really well built. Pressing it against my eye, and moving my head won't break it loose. If I put a little pressure against it, and move the camera off axis, it will come off, but you have to work to make that happen.

Where can I buy the LCDVF 3:2 I can't find it anywhere besides glidetrack which is out of stock lol

Try amazon.de. They seem to have them in stock - €109 I think it was going for.

B/w count me in for 2 of those other ones the OP was talking about.

Please can the OP share some info on how the frame fits on a T2i. Does it block the sensors, etc.

Cheers

how does it affect that proximity sensor? Can you use the camera for photos?

The proximity sensor doesn't function because the frame covers it. It's not a big deal as it is not used in any way for video. If I do it again, I'd probably just snip away the metal frame that is covering the sensor. I dont think this will affect the frame strength as the glue is quite solid and the loupe is very light.

For photo, I turn off the lcd display so I never use the proximity sensor anyway. Your mileage will vary.
