$65 Loupe on T2i it rocks!

This is not a joke or a scam. I found the auction while looking for a loupe on eBay, I lost the initial auction and the seller contacted me about buying one at the price I bid which was $65 also known on eBay as a second chance offer. I was nervous as he had at the time only 2 feedback but hey eBay guaranteed the purchase and I could afford to be out of a little cash for a month if I did get scammed assuming it was scam it was worth the chance to me.

There was no headache involved with this purchase, it was as smooth as eBay gets. I just thought I would share this with those of you who would be interested in a good deal. Which it was, simple as that. I always would suggest don't buy anything off eBay if you can't afford a possible problem with the purchase - if you need it today go to a local shop and buy it there if possible. That said I have only had 1 problem ever on eBay and that was with a seller who had zero feedback.

If you would have included this in your initial post comments like mine would have not been made. Also very risky on your behalf to do something like this, but at the same time thank you for bringing this to the community.

So I apologize as I was wrong, please post more impressions and pictures when you can

Thank You

Yeah, I am in for one if the group buy is set up. Let me ask a couple of questions though. Does it give a full view of the LCD? How sturdy is that magnetic mount? Also, I am near sighted, does the diopter (eyepiece) focus adjustment, cover that (as far as you know)?

Just wonderful. I see this post THE DAY AFTER i pulled the trigger on the Z-Finder Jr. *sigh* ah well.

This is probably just the beginning of these lower-cost loupes on eBay. It takes some time, but they'll eventually drop in price. A few months from now, they'll go for $25.

The 7d battery grip can be bought for $60 on eBay now. Back in February, it was more than double that.

Probably, since it's just plastic moulding and a magnifying lens. I can't see it being more than $10 in materials. There's always going to be a market for Z-Finders, but considering the pace that bodies (thusly LCD screens) change, I can't consider paying more than $250 for a loupe a good investment.

Gracias.

Like you mentioned, it will probably be $25 soon. But I may pull the trigger, I need one badly.

EDIT: Hey, one more question. With this being a magnetic system, you can easily pop the loupe part on and off, right?

Well, I just ordered one locally in New Jersey from eBay cuz I need one of these things like yesterday.

I'll post up a review & my thoughts.

No worries Cieloent, I just didn't want to offend the mods or advertisers in my initial post by making it look like I was selling it which I'm not.

The mounting frame is sturdy when mounted to the camera. The loupe hasn't fallen off even when throwing the tripod on my shoulder with the camera on to move it around so the magnet is strong enough for the job.

I talked with the seller again today he said he is currently getting more in stock - his eBay user ID is flash_diffuserhttp://www.dvxuser.com/V6/member.php?u=59535

No worries Cieloent, I just didn't want my post to come off as if I was the one selling them as I'm not.

I messaged the seller earlier today about listing more on eBay and he said he was working on getting more of them in stock.

The mounting frame seems pretty sturdy, my loupe hasn't fallen off when I've carried my tripod around while the camera was on my tripod. It doesn't seem to be focusable. There is maybe 1mm on each side of the lcd that is not covered though I say that just so someone doesn't buy one and then blame me, I can see the complete curve of the corners of the lcd so I would say it gives complete coverage.

What I got.

That´s quite a nifty handle you got there.

It´s always good to have some extra gaffa tape at hand :)

Good find.
